Script:
Is there an afterlife– life after this life ends? There probably isn’t a person who hasn’t asked this concern at one time or another.
And here’s the answer: If there is a God, there is an afterlife. It’s that basic.
And here’s why:
First, this life is filled with a countless quantity of oppression and suffering. If there is an afterlife, the only way there can be some ultimate justice for victims of evil is. If there is an afterlife, and the only method comfort is readily available to those who suffer unjustly– from agonizing illness and early death to the death of a kid– is.
However such an afterlife exists just if there is a good and simply God. A great and simply God offers a way to compensate for all the unjust suffering in this world.
Second, considering that God is not physical, the real world is not the only reality. There is also a non-physical reality. And we human beings have a part of us which, being non-physical, endures the death of our body. We call it the “soul.” If there is no God, this physical life is all there is. So, no God, no soul; no soul, no afterlife.
If you believe in a great God, then you have to believe there’s an afterlife. If you say you think in God but not in an afterlife, the god you think in is not just not excellent, that god is harsh.
Now, some individuals who do not think in an afterlife provide their own version of immortality. I once went to a funeral service where the guy officiating stated, “While there is no afterlife, we do survive on– through our good works and in the memories of loved ones.”
That’s what a lot of individuals who decline an afterlife want to think.
However the concept that humans “live on” through their good works or through the memories of loved ones– which normally indicates a person’s kids or grandchildren– is just useless.
If people survive on “through their greats,” then children who die do not “live on.” The variety of “greats” most kids are even capable of is tiny. When it comes to children who die, well, children can’t take part in greats at all so, I think, they just do not “survive on.”
Anyhow, the reality is that bad works usually reside on longer than almost any greats. In reality, if works make us immortal, Hitler, with all the evil he did, is much more never-ceasing than the kindest individuals on earth.

No God, no soul; no soul, no afterlife.
Now, of course, those who doubt God’s presence have every reason to question an afterlife. If you think in a good God, then you have to think there’s an afterlife. If you say you think in God however not in an afterlife, the god you believe in is not only not good, that god is vicious.
