The 24 Elders singing
HalleluYah.
I don’t agree that Samuel came back. This would be a one time exception to what the Bible teaches. The medium of En-Dor saw a god coming out of the Earth appearing like an old man wrapped in a mantle. Saul understood was Samuel. In my view it’s more like a demon that faked as Samuel. Also, the prophesy about Saul’s life and his sons is not completely fulfilled. Saul committed suicide. He didn’t fall in the hands of the Philistines. He rather fell into his own hands. I can be wrong on this one, but I wouldn’t understand why God would make an exception here. The other moment that we have dead peoples arguing about it is the story (not parable) of Lazarus when he was together with Abraham. The rich man asked him to send Lazarus to go talk to his relatives and he says even if someone would rise from the dead, if they don’t hear Moses and the prophets, it would make a difference. Anyway, I agree that our loved ones won’t came back to talk to us, but the reason being is that it’s an abomination.
But I would ask a different question. Jesus and Paul use the expression that the believers in Christ are asleep and will wake up when the rapture happens. My understanding is that to our time, everyone who died in Christ is asleep now. Not on their time, because they are out of time now. They died, opened their eyes and they are directly sent to the rapture. While the ones that are alive will encounter Jesus in the middle of the clouds together with the ones who were asleep. So, on my understanding, nobody that died in Christ is looking at us from heaven now as we will all encounter Jesus together in the clouds.
I ordered the book (by Mark Hitchcock)
while I am a new believer..correct me if I am wrong…are people who died still awaiting to go to Heaven..that is they are not there because Lord Jesus Christ has yet to return? Are the spiritually alive not also waiting? So many pastors keep saying so and so went to be with God…..from what I understand..no, they have not nor will we until Lord Jesus Christs' return and last judgement. Being so many many experts keep making this great error makes me wonder is the adversary that effective …?
Mark, in Rev 6 that you mentioned regarding the souls under the Altar and they ask the Lord “how long o Lord before you avenge us”, could it be that the avenging is at The Judgement, and not that these oppressors are still alive when they are asking this? Just had that thought. Thank you!
It might be helpful to have a title that states what will be addressed in the episode. It is a little difficult to go back and find what was being discussed, especially a few episodes removed. That would make it easier to share with friends, and would show up in search engines better. Thanks!
Thank you Bro. Mark.
Thank you again Pastor Mark I always look forward to listening to you on your video blogs I would love to be able to visit your church but distance has a lot to do with it since I'm located in Pennsylvania thank you and God bless
I don't want my Loved ones giving me a sign that's creepy or watching me
Oh, you can be sure when a doctrine from the Bible is being attacked and people are trying to debunk it and mock it that it is the truth.
