The largest dataset on sex-reassignment treatments– both hormone and surgical– reveals that such procedures do not bring the assured psychological health advantages.

Individuals who experience a gender identity conflict should be treated with respect and empathy. And they should have to understand the truth.

We need to find better, more gentle, and reliable responses to those who experience dysphoria.
