Not wanting this corruption exposed, Joe Biden swung into action, using US loan guarantees as hostage while demanding Skokin be fired. Amazingly, Joe Biden now brags about his actions in this matter…"

And I went over, I guess the 12th, 13th time to Kiev and I was going–supposed to announce that there's another billion dollar loan guarantee. And I'd gotten a commitment from Porschenko and from Yatzinyov that they would take action against the state prosecutor and they didn't. So they said they had to–they were walking out of the press conference and I said "I'm not gonna give you–or we're not gonna give you the billion dollars. They said 'You have no authority, you're not the president. The president said–" I said "Call him." [audience laughter] I said "I'm telling you, you're not getting the billion dollars." I said "You're not getting the billion, I'm gonna be leaving here.." I think it was, what? 6 hours? I look at him I said "We're leaving in 6 hours. If the prosecutor's not fired you're not getting the money." Well son of a bitch [audience laughter] he got fired. AND they put in place someone who was solid." [awww that's so good]
