Twenty or fifty and even a century earlier, if you asked someone which of the world’s countries was the most varied, many equitable, and most inclusive, they would have likely addressed “the United States.”
Not any longer.
What altered?
Well, absolutely nothing … and everything.
Absolutely nothing in the sense that America is still the opportunity-rich place it’s always been.
And everything because the progressive left has pirated those three words– variety, equity, and inclusion– and turned them into weapons of mass damage. This DEI trio makes up the neutron bomb that has laid waste to an excellent part of our academic and business institutions.
Given the damage that has actually been done, it might be a good concept to see what these words used to suggest and what they imply now.
Variety used to suggest that people of different backgrounds were totally free to sign up with a group or association.
Equity utilized to suggest imposing equivalent requirements for all individuals and groups.
Inclusion used to mean permitting people of every background and identity to take part in a group or association.
Now, in their DEI context, these words all suggest something: using unequal standards to ensure preferential results for individuals and groups based on sex, race, and gender identity.
The DEI movement is not about a genuine desire to make instructional or corporate organizations more varied, more equitable, or more inclusive.
If you don’t believe me, try having an open conversation on your business message board or at your next DEI workshop about why the same requirements need to use to everybody, everywhere, no matter gender, sex, or race identity.
Try that and you understand what will take place: You’ll be yelled down, avoided, reprimanded, and maybe fired.
DEI is eventually about only one thing: advancing those who are not white, heterosexual, and male at the cost of white, heterosexual men, no matter their particular qualifications.
If you say, well, that’s great because white, heterosexual males had a lot of benefits for too long, then I would ask: What about all the ladies, gays, blacks, and Latinos who were born into opportunity? Should they be recipients of special DEI preferences?
And when do we know we’ve reached a DEI endpoint? When do we understand that everything is lastly diverse, inclusive and equitable?
That’s a feature, not a bug of the DEI racket. You never ever reach your goal because it doesn’t exist. You’ll never rather be diverse enough, fair sufficient or inclusive enough.
The DEI obsession has been great for one group of individuals and one group only: The extravagantly paid DEI administrators at every Fortune 100 college, university, and company; and all those who work under them.
Corporations now pay millions upon countless dollars to so-called DEI experts to spread division and mistrust amongst their own staff members. It may be the single most non-productive, self-destructive thing a business can do to itself. Companies, to their long lasting shame, are doing it anyhow.
If they do not set up a DEI workplace, that proves their company is racist, sexist and homophobic. If they do set up a DEI workplace, that shows their business is racist, homophobic and sexist.
Heads DEI wins, tails you lose.

Or why else did they set up a DEI office in the first location?
