tl;dr: the white english, french and american peoples are the ones which ended slavery. you're welcome!
now WHO do you suppose kept engaging in slave trade, undermining the above nations' flags and doing anything to subvert their efforts for economic gain by exploiting humans?
WHO hmmm
I'm thinking this would make a hella mini-series ,naval battles and such.
Fighting evil should be acknowledged ,the bravery of selfless men living and dieing doing gods work!
People should hear the sacrifice of whites real virtue.
From the dawn of history,to the now,
and to know the fight still remains…….
Agreed. The Brits realized that debt slavery was much more profitable in the long run……
Why isn't just the history of slavery taught….
History has proven that Democrats were so incensed at Republicans invading the South to take their slaves away, that they are visiting their revenge on America to this day and succeeding. Democrats infiltrated and took over the North through trade unions controlling employment. Northern Republicans fled south during the Reagan era. During the 20th century, Democrats embraced every form of Marxism from communism to fascism. They engaged in subterfuge in the USA to corrupt our schools, our culture, and pervert our young. They perpetrated a coup in 2020 to win their 2nd Civil War, and currently show no signs they can be dislodged from power, except by a 2nd Revolution.
Across this whole debate, it keeps coming up how Arab slavers were the most brutal…..
But I'm actually privately arriving upon a whole different perspective on pretty much ALL of history, and that is demographics are still being divided up by geographic origin instead of their philosophical creeds. Which, yes, geographical origin does narrow-down a person's philosophical options as they grow up and find their place in society, but ISN'T the end-all problem…. Codified behaviors are, and I think WAY more attention NEEDS to be paid to which specific codes of behavior were being followed. 'Darwin's Law' of unwritten, unregulated savagery is what is being implied by default, in history as presently told—-by political "Right" and "Left" alike, curiously, and that alone tells me there's probably an unsung "side" that's already losing the war over the narrative; it's becoming too homogenous, with no original perspectives on the un-contested facts.
Right and Wrong actions in history seem fairly simple and obvious to modern audiences—–but what REALLY made it so difficult for historical figures to recognize in their own time? Modern audiences are fatally, arrogantly tempted by the Darwinistic SENTIMENT that human beings just get smarter (more "Evolved") as generations progress, as if by magic. (Though, under minimal scrutiny, actually affirms that "Good times create weak men….." 😜😰) And yet, anthropological evidence finds that even "cavemen" were just as smart as we are today; so, perhaps, modern students of history actually OWE to every barbarian of the past a little more credit for the intelligence behind their motives. Either we're all still equally stupid AND EQUALLY CAPABLE OF BARBERISM even now (believable 😜) OR, shocking historical events are NOT really as clear-cut as we like to think.
As an aspiring novelist, I observed the power of stories over people, ESPECIALLY scientists 🤔 who passionately describe themselves as "rational" and yet name all their discoveries after self-aggrandizing pet mythology and even fall under the spell of every work of fiction that romanticizes (flatters) their discipline; I've seen video games explicitly critical of "religion" ironically drive young men to gamble their actual lives for stupid reasons—-reaching for a fleeting moment of consummate delusion—-like circus performers; and I've seen friends pattern their own personalities—-even their finances—-after characters fabricated in fiction with tragic discrepancies between their behaviors, intentions, and the way the real world actually works, leading to catastrophic outcomes….
A news story out of Japan comes to mind, so that I won't have to describe anyone I personally know: a young woman was so infatuated with the "Yandere" kinky/comedy anime archetype that she actually stabbed her boyfriend—-and gleefully admitted to the crime, but unconvincingly denied being the one who called the ambulance for him, as some part of her HADN'T given-over completely to the idiotic role-play. 😧 Seriously. 💩 like that is why human history actually presents a good case for fair belief for demonic-possession; she was AWARE of nearly ending the one she loved, enough to call for help, but literally couldn't stop herself in the first place?? 🤔
This is my case to analyze the literature and oral histories of EVERY individual, let alone demographic, we wish to pas judgment on for their barbarous deeds. We can simply blame their corner of the world——–but that SEEMINGLY-INTENTIONALLY sterilizes the factor of what they grew up reading, or listening to their elders say.
My first hunch, at first plunge into this particular subject, Arab slavery, is that somewhere it was written, and popularly understood, that enslaving "infidels" is OBLIGATORY as a recruitment process, and mercy only prescribed among fellow believers. But this would be a "bigoted" and unpopular presumption, even to lightly investigate as a matter of curiosity, in today's politically contentious world. I'm sure that's why the written beliefs and codes of conduct (not just laws) of historical figures are never even part of the discussion. If they were, readers of history would ACTUALLY see history through its impassioned participants' eyes, instead of simply from above it all like an impassive god, for better or for worse, and ancient wars would immediately flame-up again in every lecture hall—–virtual wars in virtual lecture halls like this one, or otherwise. 😱
In today's world, history is TAUGHT in a way that doesn't convert beliefs one way or another, or, rather, actually adjusts for pre-selected outcomes. I believe, some omissions are actually just INVISIBLE to some earnest orators, because a given subject is simply not even on their radar; such as, on the topics of historical spice trades and the value of silver, NO ONE talks about the market demand being driven by the health of the end-consumer and the diseases occurring at the time; the value of sugar may not have been its obvious sweetness and pleasurable quality, but the fact that it was used to preserve fruit that provided DESPERATELY-needed Vitamin C in Northerly winters, and probably even on ship voyages in the age of sail. These contested treasures lose their superficiality even from a modern perspective, and muddy the argument over Right and Wrong, through the lens that these were MEDICINES in a diseased world. Even alcohol, despite the notoriety of addicts, was used as a base for medicinal extracts.
So, any HONEST orator on history should ask: what WOULDN'T a modern person do, if they absolutely knew who's life depended on it? Who's life would you prioritize over who's, if you genuinely thought it came down to that? 😨 In an age of comparative plenty, it's deceptively much easier to condemn that mode of thinking than it was back then, even for the most intelligent men and women who have ever lived, from ANY time-period.
I know Sowell already made some videos about this, and so I'll float my certainty that he already agrees with me on this:
It actually took an especially daring bunch of hyper-idealistic crazies to begin asserting that they would rather starve to death, if it came to that, than keep another man, woman, or child captive in order to steal the rightful fruits of their labor; precisely, a daring bunch of crazies who systematically invested the majority of their lives simply trying to codify what moral "Right" and "Wrong" even mean, and exactly WHY doing Right should be more important to human beings than one's own life itself. Ya see where I'm going with this, right?
I'm raising a dichotomy based in written, popular doctrines with long histories, and long histories of conflict with each other, QUITE THE OPPOSITE of simply proposing illiterate backwardness and ignorant barbarism as the world's chief organizer of slave institutions. It probably didn't just happen, at least with THAT level of sophistication, but may have been PRESCRIBED——I daresay, by the sophisticated academics respective to history's participants' geographical origins. People did it, not because oppressing one another is just the natural thing to do in uncivilized societies, but because highly "civilized" societies actually prescribed it, with sophisticated and evidently convincing reasoning.
That recognition of HIGHLY-EDUCATED rationalization being the chief PROPONENT of slavery doesn't make it Right, by any means, but recognition of that stark deficiency in today's retelling of historical events DOES, I hope, keep our future from ever approaching a parallel course. 😬
So, as a final counterpoint to the question earlier: what WOULDN'T we do, should even our own lives or the lives of our loved-ones depend on it, just because it is immoral? This IS every modern person's golden measure for comparing ourselves against the rest of humanity, throughout the whole backdrop of world history: who's rights would we prioritize over who's needs? Admonishing slavery is easiest when we already have our basics, and are actually, probably still too ignorant to even know what's still missing from our modern lives, but if we didn't have any food, shelter, or clothing otherwise, are we really willing to DIE, and even to sacrifice our whole communities, rather than force another human being to labor for all?
And, furthermore, exactly why the Hell even give a damn about moral principles? Either they're all just social-constructs, a fashion blowing in the wind, and slavery will come and go again and again as socially-acceptable, or, "God will understand, when a sin is necessary." 🤨
Determining hard answers in one's own cosmic worldview is the only thing that makes moral principles NOT simple constructs—–noble pillars built on sand. It is not possible to determine that slavery is morally Wrong, without first determining that the universe does indeed have a fixed polarity respective to human behavior. Which is why a sterilized, superficial, and impersonal take on historical barbarism is the only "safe" kind. Not that the real thing, unfiltered and WHOLE, wouldn't do us all a rough kind of good; it would certainly help those of us who wish to do Good to do better, and those of us who don't to at least stop beguiling themselves with noble delusions that Wrong is Right.
Problem is, people really LOVE that delusion, even in our own time; towers of pure reason built on foundations of proverbial stone be damned, they just don't want to know anything that might require a behavioral change.
(Man…. Exhausted myself. Forgive me if I can't proof this beast right now. 😅)
The only thing the Civil War had to do with slavery was the fact that the South was sick of poor treatment from the North, and Lincoln's illegal edicts. Slave TRADE was abolished in the early 1800's, America was well on it's way to free ALL slaves, both black and white.
BLM Deny all this
Very interesting for sure, And still Black tribes doing the capturing and selling of other tribes ?
I have to take issue with the text around 2:00 – it simply states that Britain had to use its navy to patrol the atlantic. NO, IT DID NOT HAVE TO. Britain CHOSE to and get no thanks for taking the supression of the AMERICAN atlantic slave trade on its shoulders.
You may all say thank – you now and stop casting English actors as villains in your movies. It is tiresome to be accused of being imperialist colonisers by the most colonial power of the 20th Century.
We don't learn about the middleeastern slave trade because we weren't involved in it. Why bring it up as a way to minimize our slavery?
We fought a war over slavery LMFAO. But we're better than other countries? We compensated slave owners too! Why does this video not mention that?
Congratulating white men for ending slavery is like patting a murderer on the back when they stop killing. Except when did it stop? The convict leasing system that came about after slavery was even more cruel and violent. Jim Crow. Separate water fountains.
The British were not the first to end slavery. Haiti was the first country to end slavery in 1793 and become the First black independent Nation in the world in 1804.
Slavery didn't end, it just changed titles.
Now they call it "indirect democracy" and "civic duty" etc.
When before Lincoln, the voters in each state could directly overrule their government, at will.
Obama did more to segregate the USA than any other one person in history.
Denmark was first to abolish slavery in 1803 Britain followed in 1807as did the United States sowell history different from secular history
Slavery didnt stop. Its called low wage workers now.
I'm not against reparation for those taken as slave. But to those who were wronged not those who have profited from the price their ancestors paid. How we pay those who are deceased is another matter. If todays descendants want reparation it has already been paid . You have something your ancestor don't have, Life. How you spend it is up to you.
But don't forget to give thanks to your ancestors and those who made them a slave. Because if that hadn't happened your ancestor would have been killed and you would not be here. No business person keep stock that doesn't sell. Least of which an African tribesman's who has to find food to keep slaves alive for no valid reason if they cannot be sold.

Before you all get together an flame me. Check out the history of the world. This world was founded on slavery. Not just the Egyptians and the Jewish folk.
–
Look at the thousands of Americans who died to stop slavey in America, are you going to compensate their families? They died to keep your ancestors alive long enough for your birth. Stop thinking like a victim start thinking like someone who has escaped death. Because someone died for you. Many Somone's
–
– In total, the war left between 620,000 and 750,000 soldiers dead, four million African Americans were free.
– If you want to look at the cost do so. But look at the whole cost. Then look at what we got in return. The ability to live a life.
–
– A world mostly without too much slavery. Yes it is still here I was one for most of my working life. It's just not called slavery today.
– It's called low income workers.
The only thing worse than the ungrateful few………… Is the ungrateful many. And my apologies to the ungrateful dead 🙂
–
As Spok said live life and prosper. Many yours be, beyond your wildest dreams.

Cheers Bob..
Dinesh DiSousa has stated that of the four million slaves that were in America, not one was owned by republicans. The democrat party should have been outlawed after the Civil War.
If you search on Google which country had the worst slaves is stated that it's korea, russia,India,Pakistan, philipines, indonesia, the repulic and Nigeria as in 2018
At the end of the day, all countries had slaves, it doesn't matter for how long it happened, they still did what they did, no one can change the past but one can change the future.
It's sad The curse of brutal slavery must be borne by the oldest human race.
Fantastic lesson in human history and fantastic lesson in how ignorant we remain on human history because we react, again re-act, purely on emotions instead of on facts.
IT SEEMS TO ME EVERYONE IS AGAINST REPARATIONS FOR AMERICA BLACKS BUT THE TRUTH IS NOT ONLY DOES AMERICA OWE BLACK AMERICANS REPARATIONS BUT ALSO THE ARAB RICH OIL NATIONS AND THE AFRICAN CONTINENT ITSELF ALL SHOULD PAY IN THE FORMS OF MONEY OR LAND BLACK AMERICANS WERE DEALT A AWFUL BLOW IN HISTORY THAT CAN STILL BE SEEN IN TODAY’S SOCIETY
WHY IS IT THAT ETHIOPIANS DON’T THINK THEY HAVE BEEN TOUCHED Y THE ARAB EAST AFRICAN SLAVE TRADE
Americans: “The British are evil oppressors and also, all men should be equal under the eyes of god”
Britain: So, you gonna ban slavery?
America: Lol, no.
Seems like the African nations and the descendants of the African slave traders have a role and responsibility in the talk about reparation owed !
In the US I think the argument of reparations should never have been about slavery but the violence and unjust treatment (and lack of protections) fueled by racism and prejudice that followed the proclamation of freedom.
After 1865 Freedmen and Women were then Americans but still were treated as second if not third class citizens. The protections of the law were circumstantial at best. The claims of current descendants of slaves being held back due to their race etc. is true in mass all the way through the 1970’s. That is what should be examined when speaking of reparations, in my opinion of course.
This made economic sense, especially after it had itself already massively profited from slavery
the first to abolish black slavery was ISLAM. the brits abolished slavery in general.
In order to stop these ships the British needed some kind of intelligence to know which ships were actually carrying slaves & which were not. They'd also need to know when & where they set out.
I'd like to know what kind of intelligence operations the British conducted amongst the slavers so as to properly restrain them.
I urge anyone listening to this to truly immerse your attention in the image of Arab slaver's castrating a man, whom just like you or I, probably months before, was simply working for his family, e.g. as a herder or farmer; I say this in order to truly understand what this man went through, without passing over it mentally. Thomas described that most of the castrated died during the journey, so you need to realise that this was, not only done with a dirty blunt knife, but was probably cauterised to to prevent certain blood loss.Back then, this labours certainly wouldn't have the medical knowledge or equipment (thread and needle) to accurately, or safely sew-up a wound of such magnitude. This is a horrifically painful continued life, immediate or delayed death, whether or not you survived the. Initial severing and cauterisation process
Only a naive person thinks slavery doesn't exist anymore.
Why is there only concern for black slavery when there have been slaves of all races and all times
Slavery stopped in "white" countries
Yet we're despised by the people we freed?!
Slavery continues to this day?
Why no concern for contemporary Slavery?
A pre occupation with only black slavery is racist
Unbelievable that patrols were still needed in the 1870s!!!! And with that in mind it is understandable that other peoples struggle to adopt Western values…
Maybe the Blacks who campaign for slavery reparations from the Whites, should instead focus their campaigns on the Black former slaver states in Africa and their partners the Arab slave dealers. Instead many Blacks join Islam the traditional slave oppressors – go figure.
The last slave in America was freed in 1942. It was decided that they needed the moral high ground over the Japanese. Don't believe me? Check it out for yourself.
The English earned much more respect than they are given.
Arab slavers were invariably muslim and islam is know to be a cruel cult.
In the US the war against slavery was taught from the perspective of the Civil War. The history that led to it’s rise and caused it’s decline was not taught. This type of global background is useful and necessary to understand the situation. Certainly the Arab and Muslim role I hadn’t learned. You’d think that slavery emerged in the colonies by force of will of evil imperialists unilaterally.
Amazing video! Congrats from Brazil!
Im very interested in the Jewish owned fleets and slave trading companies based in Baltimore and elsewhere in the Americas and Caribbean.

Keep up the good work!
F to allah n f to the Arabs n f to muslims
As an Englishman I would like to point out, that the debt our Government took on to buy and free the empires slaves, was only finished being paid back in 2015. Every taxpayer in the UK was still paying towards it until that time.
This is why I am against reparations for people who have never been slaves in their lifetime, or their parents lifetime.
