  17. Isn't salt in his teaching much more. For instance:
    – salt preserves;
    – salt gives flavour;
    – salt heals;
    – and salt is added to many of the old testament sacrifices.

    Salt was also faked in there culture. So you could buy salt (which was for all humanity until now, very expensive) which wasn't pure. There was sand added, so it lost it's strength. And salt can also by it self lose it's power. Under certain conditions (if kept the wrong way) it will lose all the abilities named…

  26. Your translations changes were interesting, to say the least. Yes, οὐρανός (ouranós) can be translated either "heavens" or "sky," and yes, γῆ (gḗ) can be translated either "earth" or "land," but departing from the traditional "heaven" and "earth" to "sky" and "land" really doesn't change the meaning, and if anything, it might make those verses more confusing. While the ancient understanding may have correlated the heavenly realm with the sky, translating the phrase ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν as "kingdom of the sky" makes it sound like the 1st century world had a whole country or nation floating above the world, like Hylia in Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword or Columbia in Bioshock: Infinite. Clearly, as you put it, Jesus intends to bring the way of life in the metaphysical realm to the physical realm, so "kingdom of heaven" sounds better than "kingdom of the sky." Likewise, I would say Jesus's phrase τὸ ἅλας τῆς γῆς better translates to "salt of the earth" than "salt of the land" because the phrase will reflect Jesus's Great commission in Matthew 28:18-20/Mark 16:15/Acts 1:8 to spread to gospel to the ends of the earth. If anything, "salt of the land" sounds confusing because salting a land prevents the land from being fruitful for crops, which is a bad thing! As for changing the phrase "sons of God" to "children of God" in Matthew 5:9, I will be OK with that one. The text does use the masculine υἱοὶ, or "sons," instead of the neuter τέκνα, or "children," but clearly Jesus did not mean to exempt the women from this group. Personally, I say let the English reader know what the text literally says, and then let them make the interpretation. The ESV footnoting this verse accurately captures my feelings on this topic.

  27. "Blessed are the unimportant." Wow, that is a really "poor in Spirit" translation. Matthew 5:5 has nothing to do with the way society views a person and everything to do with the way a person views himself. BDAG says that the meaning for this particular word is, "pertaining to not being overly impressed by a sense of one’s self-importance, gentle, humble, considerate, meek," but that is not at all the same thing as "unimportant." Unimportant in the eyes of whom? God? Others? Self? That makes an enormous difference!

  30. How are we supposed to live under Yeshua’s Words we just Love ? And if we sins we repent? Again and again ? Isn’t what the Isralites were doing? I understand that God is disappointed by us when we sins but through the blood His Son we are forgiven. But if we don’t change our attitudes toward Sin (in general) we are just repeating what the Israelites were doing. I also understand that the Holy Spirit Lives in us which helps us to do right and Love. But we’re still expose to sin on daily basis by others people sins or by circumstances that makes us sins and more. So how can we live in peace ? If I understand we can’t truly live at peace until The Rapture and that God establish His Kingdom on Earth. Therefore , we can only lives in Hopes and live by Faith. We constantly need to renew our mind making us misfits to this World if we aren’t in Christian community context. So walking with Yeshuah by God’s Will we can’t live physically or mentally at peace. We need to live spiritually like Yeshua with the Holy Spirit and so live more in the spirit. This is the only way to survive on Earth… If you guys have other visions as servants, disciples, children of God, prophets, Christians.

  32. God chooses to partner with us because of what Jesus has done. Restoring our relationship to the Father and giving us God the Holy Spirit to guide us in what Jesus taught.
    Jesus was not kidding when he said this to this crowd. I am sure many of them went off to become the church.
    The church was initially made up of the poor.
    They changed the known world. There internal change was played out causing a revolution.

    At present the third world is becoming evangelist to the first world.
    We are so fortunate to be part of God's Kingdom at times I do not think we understand that we need to be light and to speak light into all that we do.

  39. I would like to pose a supposition. Knowing the truth is paramount in today's world. Lies are cast as truth and the truth is termed lies or misinformation confusing the population. Now in most cases the truth is sought to gain wisdom in making the correct choice for a human striving to walk a righteous path (Of course they fail at every step but that is besides the point). One simple truth is that the Beginning of Wisdom is the fear of God. I would like to propose that another truth also exists. To deny the existence of God or Jesus is to deny truth and likewise to deny Jesus or God is to deny truth. It is fairly evident that secular society and the materialists deny truth and reality these days, proved by almost their every action these days. I will conjecture that the cause of this lack of understanding and acceptance is rooted foremost in their complete denial of God and Jesus.

    There's a difference between the words 'meek' and 'unimportant', as it changes the intent.

    Looking over [Matthew 5:5]; it looks as if your translation changes the meaning. Please point

    me to the passage and version you're using. I've found none that uses the term 'unimportant'.

    What I did find is that 'meek' is found in at least 28 versions,

    'humble' is used in 5 versions, and 'unimportant' is found 0 times.

  49. You only call Jesus a teacher and never say that he is the Son of God and our savior? However, I do appreciate your videos and podcast and think you're reaching a people that wouldn't otherwise listen. Knowing that Jesus is the Son of God, our savior and the only way to God.
