We’ve all seen it before. That inattentive expression in the eyes of our teens (or pre-teens) when someone starts talking about God or Christianity. Maybe it’s subtle, maybe it’s more pronounced, but we recognize it: our kids are often be distracted, unengaged or apathetic when it comes to spiritual issues. J. Warner offers three practical tips to increase your teenager’s passion for God in this episode of the NRBtv Cold-Case Christianity Broadcast.

I think it would be helpful if you gave examples of your "whats" (truth claims), and examples of your "whys". Maybe you did but if so they blew right past me.
I do so appreciate this blog and ministry.
However, I want to point out that Sunday is a lie. It is not the Sabbath. Certainly not of the apostles or early church.
Hard to get passionate about a man made doctrine.
Read Acts 17:2… interesting the same was recorded of Jesus… “as His custom was…”
Also read Acts 20:7. (Actually read that whole story). Understanding that the Jews reckoned the day as evening and morning, ie., the new day starts at sundown, (see Genesis 1:5’) what was Paul and the church doing Sunday morning?… it wasn’t having church.
If you do find evidence in the Bible of the change of the Sabbath to Sunday, don’t tell the Catholics, because they claim they changed without Biblical authority…
I’d love to have Jim Wallace do an in depth research on this… I can write the title to his next book…. “Who Really Changed the Sabbath… a Cold Case Investigation Reveals the Truth”
It’s a book I would buy.
Any way, I love this channel and his work.
I don’t have kids. But my nephews a niece won’t listen when I talk about Jesus, they won’t watch movies about Jesus either. They would rather play videos games. So all I do is pray for them.
AIG did a study that concluded the teaching of evolution is used to claim that God has “been debunked”. Ken Ham wrote a book called Already Gone that explains the study. Perhaps it’s time to research the creation model and stand against this naturalistic attempt to explain everything without God. Thank you.
I am not a fan of the word passion, I think there are better ways for communicating the excitement and energy of life in Christ but I am very glad to have heard this. It's funny, but almost everything that applies to scripture and our life with Christ resonates as true with the rest of our lives. Don't just show your kids what's the priority, but prioritize now, with what you do have so that it's a natural next step to parent in the same way. Confess and share the struggles and stumbling blocks that you deal with so your testimony of Christ's faithfulness in your life is evident to all. Learn to see your own struggles and stumbling blocks, and then to overcome them. Require and find the two reasons why you do or believe things in your own life then share them with others. Don't merely force yourself to provide them because they won't mean anything to your kids or whomever you share them with with if they're merely a checkbox instead of a part of who you are. Finally, learn to and really care about what you do. Live a life present in each moment. Don't be preoccupied. Model the care for God not just out of duty but in sincerity to and love of Christ, our first and most important love.
As a 15 year old I’ve been set on fire for Jesus Christ. I grew up a Christian but unbeknownst to my parents I lost my faith and was truly an agnostic atheist and didn’t care then I stumbled upon the work of Ravi Zacharias and Frank Turek and I looked into it and realized that Christianity really was true that was 4 1/2 months ago now I’ve spent over 500 hours studying apologetics and now want to join ministry. Jesus is amazing!
I like the way you think, we as Christians must have this down to a science, since it should be our passsion!
This is great, but I offer a change to the last point: instead of only asking what the Bible says about something, it should also (and primarily) be asked what the Church that our Lord Jesus Christ founded teaches about that something – because the Bible isn’t an authority in itself per Sola Scriptura, but rather the Church that Christ founded and in the 4th century canonized the Bible is the highest earthly authority of Christianity. I cite 1 Timothy 3:15.
You are a brilliant man of God !!
I'm needing some help. Tried contacting a few places… Matthew 10:8 'raise the dead' apparently it's got no support from the Received Text… Apparently it was inserted later.
Any help on this specific topic would be appreciated.
Obviously I am against ALL texts out of Alexandria.
I'm hoping there's some ancient sermon or something that supports it.
Looking forward to this one! I am reading the Cold Case Christianity for kids book to my kids this week 🙂 Keep going!
Why don't adults seem to care
