Governor George Allen joined The Mike and Kelly Show on June 9th to discuss some of the National Coronavirus Recovery Commission’s work to save lives and livelihoods. 3 key recommendations Commissioner Allen mentions:
The Commission recommends that Congress provide legal immunity to private actors who have taken reasonable steps to ensure the safety of health-related products and services connected to the pandemic, especially products that are consistent with FDA-approved and EPA-approved products
The Commission recommends that state legislatures review (and possibly revise) their statutory grants of emergency powers to governors in light of executive actions taken throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Commission recommends that businesses in counties with low incidence should be allowed to reopen.
