Guys, thx for the guidance, and i believe there are more wisdoms when i start to read the sermons, God bless❤
The design elements of this make me think that some well organized institution structured what we see in Matthew. It makes sense that this organized institution would be the Church. This looks a lot like an early catechism. If Matthew is a catechism of the early Church, then Mark, Luke, & John may also be early catechisms of the Church (slightly different catechism for slightly different expressions of Christianity). Is this thought heretical? Or is it worth examining?
Praise be to the Lord
The God blessed me to pass my test that I never thought I would.
Great is his Grace.
Can this be printed out?
Tim and Jon, and the whole Bible Project team, thank you!

I study the Sermon of the mount word by word with this wisdom. I paise God for providing me wisdom through Bible Project. Please do a word by word clarification video. 🙏🏽 Praise god 🙌🏽
I am learning so much about the eternal truths Jesus is speaking about! Thank you, Bible Project for making this series! 🙏🙏🙏
Doesn't Mathew 5:16 (" In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.") contradict Mathew 6:1(Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.")?
I’m so happy I found you guys!
Thank you Pastor Jon and Pastor Tim to help us understand the Bible more deeply 🙏🏽🤗.
The 'do not judge' seems more to be saying not to condemn people. Rather than forbidding discernment or assessment of others. As we must 'judge' what is a pearl and what is a swine to follow the next parable. You can be charitable to a person, even one who is guilty while still recognizing that they may have acted harmfully. And one might take steps to mitigate the damage such a person would do in the future, while still having a loving disposition towards that person and hoping for their repentance. Later verses about discipline in the church then should not be seen as conflicting with Jesus intent since the same holy spirit directed those verses. Likewise, "don't judge" is not a rule against the role of the judiciary in a society. To apply the verse in that context, we'd wish to ensure a range of ethical approaches are followed, ie: presumption of innocence, due process, right to a defence, punishment fitting the crime, unbiased jury of peers and so on. Where judging is wrong especially is when people skip those steps and make a snap judgement against someone else on the basis of hearsay or because that person is part of an out-group. "To Kill a Mockingbird" is an illustration of 'do not judge' being violated. The process of judgement was corrupt in that case which led to punishing an innocent man. I trust this will be helpful to those who have sensed that Jesus 'do not judge' often is misapplied to justify sin.
Wow! This is a masterpiece!
WHERE in the Hebrew scriptures does is say that salt is a long lasting symbol of God's covenant relationship with Israel?
To even realize this was designed by God in our modern days means that His Spirit keeps working for mankind.
Just want to let you guys know that your channel has always been a channel of rebuke and blessing to me. I am always reminded of who God is. I thank the Lord for you. I pray that His wisdom be upon You and His hand to be on all the projects that you guys have. To Him be all the glory and praise. 🙏
Which program do you use to make your videos?
This is one of the most powerful videos you’ve created in my opinion. I happen to be obsessed with the sermon on the mount (and the story of Noah and his Ark) which is probably why this video resonated with me so much! Thank you @bibleproject
In these days when so many voices claim to be speaking for God but their messages do not align with his teachings and the fruit they produce is bad, I am immersed in the Sermon on the Mount. Not just to live right and do right, but to recognize those false teachers and leaders and attempt to steer others to the light. Thank you for this awesome outline and summary!
Allow fellow Christians to help you in your struggles. Good for them, good for you.
