#ContactTracing has been going on for decades. Google and Apple are giving users the option of helping #COVID19 Contact Tracing efforts. What does this mean for our privacy? Is this just another grab of our data by big tech? Could this be a way for the government to get our health information? This week, Klon Kitchen walks us through what Google and Apple are proposing, some of the legitimate concerns, and why this effort could serve as an effective tool to fight against the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases in the future.

  5. If Apple and Google update your phone with this app on it, how is that volunteering? And make no mistake, your doctor, clinic, try through testing, etc will upload your positive Coronavirus results to the CDC which will put your name in the data base!!

  6. There is absolutely no guarantee that any "authority" involved in this will follow a law. They consider themselves above the law, why would they start following it now? This WILL be abused. Not if, not might. It WILL. You will lose everything. You will lose your privacy, your freedom and maybe even your family.

  8. When we got our cell phones they were never going to sell our information and they were always going to keep everything private. Hahahaha. Loopholes. This is the beginning of complete and total surveillance of the American people and don't even kid yourself that it's not. China is the blueprint for this. Like these big corporations are not getting funding from the government, hahaha haha! Just look at the bailouts. Encryption can be unencrypted. Wow they think we're stupid.

You people should be ASHAMED of yourselves for deceiving people, it's not voluntary because if you test positive they force you to be traced, and then comes the stupidity of isolating you, even if you are negative but have been close to someone that tested positive. It's all an abusive power grab of people's lives and that's go-to stop, period!

    1. TURN OFF BLUETOOTH EVERYTIME YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE
    2. BUY A "FARADAY BAG" ON EBAY FOR YOUR PHONE
    3. PUT THE PHONE IN YOUR BAG EVERYTIME YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE.
    4..ONLY TAKE IT OUT IN AREAS WHERE THERE ARE NO PEOPLE WITHIN 20 FEET..
    5..PROBLEM SOLVED…

    Ok here is how it works… the phones will communicate via "near field " bluetooth and GPS and phone location. Everywhere you go your phone will be communicating with any and all phones it comes in proximity. You could pass someone in a grocery store , they get covid test positive, they find you and tell you to quarantine for 14 days OR REMOVE YOU FROM YOUR HOUSE..YES, IT IS INDEED CALIFORNIA LAW. Google it..
    So when you turn off bluetooth that should be enough , however, they will force updates for your operating system on your phone and thus update will include the software to trace the phone and it will force bluetooth on. They will tell you its voluntary..Do not believe this for one second.
    So turn off BT, put phone in bag and that will block ALL signals in and out of the phone. Technically BT is irrelevant at this point ….

  13. They ignore the biggest violation, entering your home, testing u, quarantining you. This is a step toward chipping cause people won’t cooperate with being forced to allow people into their home. Gates wants u chipped so they can harvest crypto currency from your body: are your kidneys good and usable for transplants, etc. they already have prices for aborted baby parts.

    All under the guise of a phony pandemic.

  18. It may be voluntary from the smartphone perspective, but governments can make it mandatory and language to that effect is already in place in various locations. Gov't can mandate that the app's q-code MUST be scanned to allow entrance to stores…or your own job, this is happening elsewhere, what would possibly make us immune from this result?

  23. Does ANYBODY think this "voluntary" plan will be any different than ANY other corporate/government voluntary program ever created in the past? As we all know that we're taxpayer adults in the 50 years ago our Paper Federal Income Tax booklets every year stated the tax was "voluntary"… RIGHT. This is the "conservative)"???? Heritage Foundation helping to get the elephant's trunk inside the tent…. further proof of the effect to advance the tyranny agenda masked as "for the 'voluntary' good" of everyone and "not to worry". Check out the California tacong rules. They say voluntary everywhere BUT also say if you don't "volunteer" we will use court orders to make you do so. No word of a lie!!! I choose Liberty over being a "volunteer".

  32. As a retired nurse with 30+ years of experience, I will tell you that this is unmerited surveillance and goes WAY beyond traditional contact tracing that has been done in the past. For example, finding and treating sexual partners in STD's. This has NOTHING to do with publice health, just as the Plandemic was and remains a scam. Voluntary? Get real Heritage! I am surprised at you!

They built an app to trace everywhere we go in the world, everyone that we have been in proximity to, who we slept next to last night, who we had lunch with, who was in the bathroom stall at the same time as us, all while they compile a list of who does, who does not and who "could" be infected and all of this is overseen by a PRIVATE tech companies with no regulating body to oversee that they are indeed doing what they said they would. The same tech companies that are known for selling our data, using our personal information for nefarious purposes and violating our constitutional rights?

  41. I'm not participating in any form of contact tracing. Not with a government with rogue agencies like FBI and the other alphabet agencies who have weaponized the power and information they already have. I don't trust them as they have proven themselves untrustworthy. Pretty simple. Nor are they competent enough to keep the data secure or private. Don't give them any information that can be weaponized against you. You can bet it will be despite assurances to the contrary. Once they have your data the rules to access it will change like always. Or the rules will simply be ignored without consequence. When someone shows you they cannot be trusted.. believe them.

  43. Contact tracing is very important step in epidemiology. It would be very difficult in controlling the spread of a disease without doing contact tracing, manual or digital. Those countries that had the coronavirus under control all did contact tracing diligently, Taiwan and South Korea being two of the examples. The privacy issue is protected by law and the practice of the public health personnel.
