Who Celebrates Che Guevara?
Che Guevara is the face that launched a billion T-shirts. Even now, more than fifty years after his death, he inspires would-be revolutionaries and social justice warriors. Why is his appeal so enduring? Guatemalan radio and TV host Gloria Alvarez explains.

Script:
Imagine wearing a t-shirt…
Or displaying a poster…
Or waving a flag…
Emblazoned with the face of a brutal killer who openly expressed racist anger at blacks and indigenous peoples, and undisguised disgust for gays.
Well, it’s not something you have to imagine.
It’s done every day.
Somewhere on a college campus or at a “social justice” protest somebody is celebrating a psychopath.
The famous face, of course, belongs to Ernesto “Che” Guevara.
It’s one of the most perverse jokes in modern life that so many people, especially young people, extoll him as a hero.
Strange hero.
He personally murdered or had murdered and personally tortured or had tortured thousands of Cuban citizens. He would have happily murdered and tortured many more if had he lived longer.
The only thing that stopped him was a bullet. He was killed in 1967 at the age of 39, trying to organize a communist revolution in Bolivia.
They say only the good die young. Che was an exception.
But Che still captures the popular imagination.
Why?
Hell, if I know.
Unless you’re into sadistic thug worship, I am at a loss.
Maybe it’s as simple as this: people don’t really know anything about what Che actually did, only what they think he did.
They think he was a handsome, sexy, hip, brainy revolutionary who sought freedom and equality for his people—a Hispanic Robin Hood, a martyr who sacrificed himself for others.
In short, a tragic symbol of righteous rebellion.
Except, this is nonsense.
The real Che was a murderous, homophobic, racist hypocrite.
Yet Che flags are a feature of Black Lives Matter protests.
Go figure.
Here’s Che on race: “The black is indolent and a dreamer; spending his meager wage on frivolity or drink.”
Che explicitly stated that his vision of socialist utopia did not include blacks: “We’re going to do for blacks exactly what blacks did for the revolution,” he said. “By which I mean: nothing.”
Or how about this: “The blacks, those magnificent examples of the African race who have maintained their racial purity thanks to their lack of an affinity with bathing.”
If you want to cancel George Washington or Thomas Jefferson, what do you do with Che?
The answer is, you give him a pass. As the saying goes from the French Revolution, “there are no enemies to the left.”
We see a similar confusion among the LGBTQ crowd. Che’s face decorates many a pride poster and rainbow T-shirt, and yet Che was an unapologetic homophobe. He called gay men “perverts.” He locked them up in camps and forced them to labor under a sign that read “Work will make you men.”
In 2017, HuffPost published an article titled, “Are You Gay? Che Guevara Would Have Sent You to a Concentration Camp.”
The crusading humanitarian is not exactly checking the intersectional boxes, is he?
Like a good Marxist, he claimed to despise luxuries and creature comforts. Yet his Havana home was a vast mansion with a swimming pool, seven bathrooms, a sauna, a massage room, a private yacht harbor, and five TVs—not exactly an anti-materialist setup. Of course, he acquired this modest abode not by working for it, but at the end of a gun. In short, he stole it.
This, according to professor of political science Paul Kengor, is “a perfect summation of communism in practice.” The revolutionary leader has the bourgeois enemy of the state dispatched, appropriates his property in the name of the worker, and then claims it for himself.
But of the things Che was, most of all, he was a liar.
He lied about everything.
He lied about being a doctor. He wasn’t. There is no record that he ever graduated from medical school.
He lied about being a military genius. He wasn’t. He botched just about every military operation he ever led.
He lied about knowing how to manage an economy. In fact, he trashed a growing Cuban economy during his brief span as Minister of Industries.

VOLTAIRE sums up the leftists – If they can make you believe absurdities, they can make you commit atrocities.
0:10 I See nothing wrong with that😅
Personally, I think that some of the misdeeds of Che Guevara including his allegedly negative attitudes based on racism and homophobia are impossible to believe and I will NEVER accept such typical nonsense from his critics and detractors, like Gloria Alvarez, who came from a Latin American country that was under the grip of a FASCIST dictatorship for many decades! Furthermore, I am sure that what happened to the alleged victims of Che Guevara was just an exaggeration!
Only Jesus Christ blood can cleanse us of are sins come to Jesus Christ today
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Come to Jesus Christ today
Jesus Christ is only way to heaven
Repent and follow him today seek his heart Jesus Christ can fill the emptiness he can fill the void.

Heaven and hell is real cone to the loving savior today

John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

What an idiotic woman….she needs to read. Where does she get her info from. She needs to educate herself
This woman is totally uninformed. She should be banned on utube. Shocking biased by American.
shame on you Gloria, shame
1) Che was only racist when he was younger before becoming communist, in fact he also spent his last years fighting for black’s right in the congo
2)He never wrote anything about homosexuality so we can’t know for sure if he was homophobic or not, arguments could be made for each side
3) Obviously he killed people, he was in a revolution for god’s sake, us puppet bautista (the dictator that there was before castro) was also a brutal killer and oppressor.
Oh dear Muricans, when are you gonna wake up?
get your facts right
Expected of a PragerU comment section.
Ernesto would get along well with Hitler.
She's got my vote 😍🤩

This is what its all about. If America became Communist, Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, etc. would probably become capitalists, just so they could hold onto hate.
Where can I get this information? It seems interesting.
The racist quotes they posed here are either falsified or from his youth and his diary, in which's end he stated that he was "a changed person", and there is much more evidence to show he was pro-black, leading the way for afro-cuban liberation. And the part about homophobia is so dishonest: first of all, the prison camps were established by Castro, who even later admitted they were a fatal error (wow, let's see an american president admit their mistakes) and secondly, aren't conservatives the ones concerned with relating things to historical cercumstances? Show me the evidence how the US was so much less homophobic at the time, than the one or two quotes (I know there are even some more which are falsified), Che Guevara said in his entire life. —– "Sexual acts between persons of the same sex have been legal nationwide in the US since 2003", in contrast to: "sexual relations between same-sex consenting adults 16 and over have been legal in Cuba since 1979".
It is also funny this video is lecturing us on human rights when the narrator is a supporter/apologist for horrible fascist dictators such as Salazar and Pinochet… And also is implying through this video the pre-revolution, US-backed dictator of Batista was good?? Uhm. Slavery was still a thing (these were freed under Castro). It was basically a colony of the us. No.
"Che Guevara's life is an inspiration for every human being who loves freedom. We will always honor his memory." – Nelson Mandela
This video conrains many false facts, this video points them out and corrects them:

American propaganda ☕
Woah, is this the same Gloria Alvarez who denied the Guatemalan holocaust and said the indigenous Mayan minority should stop indulging in victim mentality over tens if not hundreds of thousands of Mayan civilians being indiscriminately slaughtered for simply living in areas controlled by rebels less than 30 years ago?
People who admire Che even when presented with atrocities he committed will say well his intentions were good and all those murders and executions he committed or ordered were necessary. They just don't get it and are so brainwashed and think he was such a good guy. I guess by those standards Jim Jones was a good guy too. His intentions early on in life was more equality for black people and other people discriminated against but eventually went nuts with his power and control and murdered over 900 people. Biased documentaries or films that leave out the extreme brutality he committed along with forced labor camps and over 14000 people killed under his orders along with women and children and the rape he committed. It's like making a movie about Hitler but only showing him not being able to make it with his art being imprisoned early on and then rise to power and then loses the war while making him seem like a victim and a hero that fought for all his people with inspirational music and soundtracks.
Che spent years of his life fighting for justice in African nations.
this entire video can be debunked just by looking at the sources. great job prageru!
saying che was anti american has only made me love him more
This is funny as this is all propaganda and misinformation there is absolutely no evidence of che being homophobic or racist, meat headed trump tards might be thinking of fidel Castro.
2:58 OH MY I CANT BELEIVE I CALLED CHE A HERO WHAT A SICK MONSTER I EVEN SITED THAT SIGN IN SPANISH AND UNFORTUNATELY IT DIDNT SAY ANYTHING…
