Why a Defining Feature of Deconstruction Is Also a Fundamental Flaw
Deconstruction is built on subjective preference and has no set destination. Tim Barnett explains how this contrasts starkly with what Jesus had to say.

If you’re being pushed out by the hatred and bigotry of your fellow congregants, you don’t really need a destination. Join another church, or join the rapidly growing ranks of “nones”. Just get away from the people who are hurting you, and take your time finding a less hateful environment in which to thrive.
Her claim: "all routes are valid". What if my deconstruction "route" "lands" me to the view that all routes are NOT valid? That results in a contradiction and would make the claim necessarily false.
reminds me about a recent discussion between jordan peterson and john lennox about the garden of eden, the choice to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge was the birth of subjective truth. here, we see deconstructionists are eating of the tree, returning to that first, original sin.
"All of those routes are valid and to be respected." 🥴 If Jesus said He's the only route to salvation, these "Christians" clearly don't believe in the concept of truth.
OK halfway through this I am beginning to think this has nothing to do with the 1860s .
There is no such thing as deconstruction of faith, it's more meaningless psychological evil jargon designed to make evil sound intellectual and logical.
I guess no one told them that 'truth isn't ice-cream.' 😉
You do YOU😳😳😳🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
“You do you” is probably some of the worst advice for a human.
No offense, I've deconstructed but pressed into Jesus. I just reevaluated false doctrine and found Christ. Deconstruction is a result of bad theology as well, not just a desire for appeasement (though that can be a reason too, albeit a selfish one).
As long as it moves you further away from God (all the while deceiving yourself that you're moving closer to Him) it doesn't matter how you do it, which direction you head (as long as it's not to "the right"!), what lies you buy into, or what lies you end up propagating once you've completed the process of making yourself the arbiter of morality instead of God (as long as you're still LGBT affirming!) – all that matters is that you're moving away from God.
Deconstruction is ok… But I prefer antidisestablishmentarianism. JK I don't even know what this video is talking about.
Subjectivity. Not valid or equal as truth. Jesus claimed exclusively to be the way so….
