If you have to say that making a factual statement like "There isn't a shred of verifiable evidence for God" is a red flag, that means you're a liar.
It's not an overstatement, it's an objective fact.
You then go on to bring up examples that are not verifiable evidence, but rather just ideas and opinions. Doesn't that prove that there isn't verifiable evidence?
Can you refute this?
Religion is a hold over for evolving that used to control people
The part i disagree is the idea that we now are super complex and past the religion stage of humanity and i disagree. Nowadays religion is waning in the west but our natural desire is to be superstitious not that superstition is correct but we are prone too it. The other part i disagree is the part about religion around the neck of humanity again we will never able to fully move past it because it is in our nature to be supersitious.
We must however get as many countries to be under secular laws as possible though, Theocracies will hold us back and you let religion run the government you are not in for a good time.
Arguments for God because of origin of the universe
The best answer is we do not know, religions claim to have the answer but they are not proven plus the fact that most design arguments only lead us to Deism not Theism but even if you get past the first hurdle you have thousands of other religions to fight who all have solutions to the God question so your work will have just have started.
Objective morality
This is the weakest one because we know morality evolves with the society. To begin with morality has a evolutionary advantage for a social species like humans, anything which causes unneeded suffering in a society is bad for the health of it and we can't thrive if people can kill or steal without punishment so we make up laws to forbid it. And after the base laws then we keep evolving on morality each generation with some things becoming good and other things thought as good becoming bad or evil.
For example in bible times even the new testament slavery was a good thing allowed to keep going but then our morality has changed so now it is disgusting to us (rightfully) God did not inspire this moral change however since the new testament allows it and says slaves obey your masters again and again throughout the new testament.
Or another thing which was not wrong to us now but back then being gay was a death sentence, something you could execute someone over but now being gay is accepted, gays have all rights as straight people do, they can marry etc. According to the bible they should be executed but the bible is wrong on this.
Miracle claims
Which appear in all religions and are not that special, now if the what the gospels say and that Christians can do all the miracles they want really existed i would be more impressed (Jesus says Christians can do just as many if not more miracles then he did) but that is not how it is in reality. Miracles can't be demonstrated to happen and prayer and healings occur the same amount as random chance.
Personal experience
Which is good for thee but not for me especially since personal experience is the least reliable measure of truth, Every religion says their followers prior to belief where unhappy, crappy, bad and upon discovering the truth of X had their lives change for the better, this is not special at all. Also to this personal experiences can be tricked by the brain into occurring so people can sense, feel or even see God depending on whatever ritual or trick they do to invoke it.
In terms of your claims to evidence they technicality are not nothing but they are very weak though, not convincing anyone outside of the fold who is logical and skeptical to join the cause, for believers they may affirm the faith but they already believed.
Maybe God belief brings comfort because God exists
Every religion claims the comfort of God though thereby someone has to be wrong then. Only one religion at most is right so if Allah brings a Muslim comfort, Jesus comforts you, some Pagan gets comforted by Thor or Zeus or a Hindu Krishna which one is correct?
So, it is a fallacy to argue against something based on origins, but legitimate to attribute validity to it by associating it with origins of other institutions?
If you don’t believe in the evidence for something then there isn’t any evidence for it, this is word games. The mere existence of arguments, even logically valid arguments, is not evidence.

The atheist is the perfect example of "pride comes before the fall."
Yet there is no proof of anything that he is saying. Saying that religion was created for the purpose to control people there is no evidence of this. Furthermore there is no evidence that without God society would even continue to prosper. In fact the opposite is true.

He didn't say there was no evidence. He said there was no verifiable evidence. He's right. Arguments are not evidence. Good arguments are based on verifiable evidence. You don't have good arguments.
Just because God is misused by man does not mean God is not real.
Religion has become a preference of opinion . Even the Old Testament never mentioned the word Christianity.

I suppose you could say in response to the answerer, "I believe in God because there isn't a shred of evidence that no god exists. Further, people who don't believe in a god divide, kill, and oppress. Belief in no god is a holdover from ancient philosophers that assumed there could be no god."
He must be a blind man but there are many blind men that know God exist.

Wow. I as an atheist found ZERO comfort in believing. It wasn't until I was born again that I finally got to the comfort part. Believing was no comfort at all. It was much more comfortable to be stuck as an atheist, just didn't have any hope.
Funny he looks at it as a negative when atheistic communism is the leader in number of lives taken. Without God then the things Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Castro, etc do are fine.
So I guess a good follow up question would be "why don't you believe in God?"
