Why was Jesus anointed with water rather of oil?

Israel’s kings and priests were blessed with oil to set them apart as leaders and God’s agents. However Jesus was anointed with water and Spirit due to the fact that he is the supreme Anointed One. Jesus does not simply function as a bridge between Heaven and Earth. He brought Heaven to Earth with the power of God’s Spirit.
