  16. A lot of your content seems pretty good, but this one…not so much. First and most obvious, you said not a word about God judging people. I know that's an unpopular topic, especially among Progressives, but it's everywhere in the Bible, and it's a crucial piece of the Christian religion. It's especially integral to the presentations of the gospel in the early Church. Jesus as judge of all humanity appears in Peter's sermon on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, in Peter's first sermon to Gentiles in Acts 10, in Paul's sermon on Mars Hill in Acts 17, in Paul's gospel presentation to the Romans in Romans 2… To quote Peter on the subject, "For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? AND IF IT IS WITH DIFFICULTY THAT THE RIGHTEOUS IS SAVED, WHAT WILL BECOME OF THE GODLESS MAN AND THE SINNER?" (1 Peter 4:17-18) To quote Paul on the subject, "We all must stand before the judgment seat of Christ…" (II Corinthians 5:10). You're doing nobody any favors by omitting this crucial element.

    Aside from that, your claim that Hebrews called the Exodus "The Day" appears to have been invented out of thin air. I'm Jewish and have never heard such a thing. I've studied the Jewish roots of Christianity, and have never heard such a thing. I'm very familiar with the Torah, and it's not there. Care to provide a footnote for that tidbit?

    God is not just coming to judge the principalities and powers, though in fact He is going to do that. God is coming to judge the nations.

The videos are entertaining, they're never fear mongering yet they're not one sided, and they always teach a super important lesson and show alternative interpretations that aren't always clear.   26. Please represent the contents of Revelation correctly. There's a lot of explicitly described disasters and calamities and many people will die for their sins in the Revelation. You glossed over all of it.

  31. I actually decided recently to go back and study “the day of the LORD” in the Hebrew Bible and find where the phrase is used and what the common elements are. It’s not a single day, but rather a set of circumstances. Prophets hundreds of years apart use the phrase to refer to different events. But those events always come down to the LORD exacting vengeance on his own people for perpetual violations of his covenant on a national level. Amos is perhaps the first to use the phrase and he mocks the people who say they look forward to the “day of the LORD”, because that day is a day of darkness and gloom. There’s lots of murder, rape, and other extreme measures.

    The New Testament authors change this phrase into different variations, but usually something along the lines of, “The day of the Lord Jesus.”

    It’s not something to wish for or to celebrate. It’s something that we should be actively trying to prevent. We don’t want “the day of the LORD” to come because it means terrible judgment and even relatively innocent people will get caught in the crossfire of it.

    Peter describes it almost identically to the Hebrew prophets when he says, “The day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.” Paul talks about how you should make sure to be “PURE AND BLAMELESS for day of Christ.”

    “The day of the LORD” is not a day we should want to see happen. Even if you think you’re on the right side, God shows no partiality when he is called upon from his throne to exact judgment on the earth. The prophets and righteous Jews of ancient times understood that very well. Paul and Peter understood it very well too, as they portray it as a time that will be terrible. Paul in particular prays that the churches he writes to will be pure and blameless when that day comes. Pure and blameless is a high standard.

    God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for you to give us more time and relent from your judgement upon us. There is an awakening happening, the likes of which the world has never seen. Your word is spread far and wide, just as you promised it would be. I pray that you remember the covenant you made with your people, the covenant you made with us through the blood of your own son. Bring us back to you, Yahweh. Jesus, please bring us back to you. We want the whole world to be filled with your glory through the confessing tongues and bowed knees of everyone on earth. We want justice and peace. Please relent and give us more time to fully realize the kingdom you have created for us. You have the heavens and earth in your mighty hands. Please God, remember the covenant you made with us who believe in the Lord Jesus, or else we will all perish under your powerful might. We pray to you, our Father, and in the name of your son the Lord Jesus, Amen.
