This animation is DOPE, it's like watching Samurai Jack or Avatar (especially the Avatar Wan episode explaining the origin of the nations)
The rural parts and nature are where people live most with God, as "the salt of the earth", the cities distorted… the city was where Christ went to die… BUT, it's the CITY where, in dying, Christ gave us salvation. He rose again in the city limits. At the end of this world, it is a city which God will institute for us to dwell in, a city infused WITH nature… the sort of cities mankind builds but actualized and infused with creation and God Himself; the actualization of creation. Cities today embody sin, but beyond time they shall be the totality of God.

it wasn't the "City" of Sodom that influenced Lot, it was the sin of the PEOPLE of Sodom……
Babylon the "City" is not evil, it was the PEOPLE of Babylon that were in the wrong, not the concentrated settlement called Babylon.
and as you DID point out, the kingdom of God has a ginormous capital city – New Jerusalem. and there was still the Jerusalem of today who Jesus seemed to love in the gospels.
