In Isaiah 45 we see how God reveals how He created the universe for His purposes. The heavens, the earth, the stars. His Power goes beyond our understanding. He also created man on earth

God chose Cyrus for His purposes concerning Israel. He has chosen Israel to fulfill His purposes according to His revelation. As believers, we also need to do His will in order to get His revelation and be able to understand It. God is indeed awesome.

  6. “Cyrus” sounds a lot more like a title is this context. God has used many kings, why gird, anoint/ call “messiah” and hold him by the right hand? Why give his glory to one that does not know him and one that never returned to him? Because “Cyrus” is a title that is layered with meaning that describes the true messiah that is to come.

  8. Hello as I listen to you read Isaiah in 45 vs 5 learning about Cyrus I’m curious what is your thoughts on if Cyrus was a believer? According to this verse it say though you do not know me.. do you have other references to this as well? Thank you for all you do 😊

  9. Its so good to listen to your message Dr.Korman and the power of truth are God's infallible words in which I see growth, understanding and deeper commitment to walk in Christ Jesus letting Him use my sensitivity for his will and plan. Love the book of Isaiah .

  10. I understand about striving with your maker and its not a good thing . Everyone has this im him even the believer. Its not a good thing but still is in us. Job has said this himself going through his agony.
    Job 10:18-19 KJV 18 Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? Oh that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me! 19 I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.

  12. Back in 1997 I knew exactly nothing about the book of Isaiah and then
    One Saturday night I went to lock-up the house and as I shut the front door I said,

    " The door that God shuts no man can open". I thought, "What did I say that for? I'm not God, but I have God living inside me. I better leave it, as it is, other wise I will think too hard about it. I will just leave it alone". So I just went to bed. During the night I was woken up by the sound of someone trying to turn a locked doorknob near my head. There are no doorknobs in our bedroom; we only have sliding doors. I then sat straight up and thought,

    " The enemy are trying to get in and attack me, so I better start pleading the blood over my family and myself". So I did and then thought,

    " That ought to do it I can go back to sleep now".

    Then a voice said to me, "get up and read the bible".

    I just lied there, the voice said to me again "get up and read the Bible now! Quick! Quick! Get up and read the Bible now!"

    I said, " Read the Bible. What am I going to read, it is a big book?"

    The voice said, " Read Isaiah 44 and 45 now! Hurry up don't diddy daddle. Read Isaiah 44 and 45 now!

    So I got up and read Isaiah 44 and 45 and then went back to bed.
