For me, evidence that supports what I believe only strengthens my faith. And I believe that there are mountains of evidence supporting the Christian faith.
I grew up in a church and evidence or facts supporting Christianity was somewhat frowned upon. Faith was all you needed. And by faith they actually meant personal experience. With hindsight I think it was an over reaction to those who studied the Bible but denied all the truths it contained.
As you've alluded to we need a balance between evidence and personal experience

So true. I think it is so important to have reasons and to be able to give anyone who asks us an answer!
There's evidence but it's just interpretation that can be wrong if we are to have no evidence why did God leave the fossil layers as proof of a global flood and biblical archaeology?
Have to laugh at people who say that faith is blind. On the contrary.
By the way, there is never enough evidence.
Not man decides truth.
God's word, the Bible, is truth (Joh. 17, 17).
