They may have relationships with other Universities in other countries, but when other countries are giving Billions of dollars to a country's Universities, they damn sure expect something in return. And It is foolish and idiotic to suppose, or even suggest otherwise, as that fool did. Don't kid yourself!
Not just the Ivy League. My husband was a professor in a small business/teacher/music college on the East Coast, he taught the Russian language and literature. Before his retirement in 2015, they began a large Chinese language department and started importing large numbers of Chinese students. Then they began an ambitious building project and they wanted to sell the Music School to a Chinese company. They then disbanded the Russian language program, salaries of the Administrators skyrocketed while teachers were laid off due to lack of enrollment. Lots of Chinese influence there.

I left college years ago because I saw and experienced a bias and that was a community college. Also because it’s too damn expensive

With all of these millions and billions of dollars going to the colleges and universities from foreign donors our government should NOT be underwriting student loans. Let the colleges use these funds to underwrite their own loans.
