Script:
Every single day someone of prominence on the left– a political leader, a cable television news host, a home entertainment figure– implicates somebody on the right of being a racist.
Here are typical examples:
MSNBC host Chris Matthews said this: “The age of Jim Crow managed to find a brand-new environment in the … 21st-century Republican Party.”
Comedian Seth Meyers told his late-night audience that Republicans traffic “in open bigotry.”
Tennessee state agent London Lamar, a black woman, announced that the entire state of Tennessee is “racist. Duration.” This was simply after she was elected … in Tennessee! And almost every criticism of President Barack Obama was labelled racist.
The left calling the ideal racist isn’t brand-new. It’s been going on for decades.
Republican Presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George Herbert Walker Bush, his boy, George W. Bush were all implicated of being racists. And, naturally, from the left’s point of view, “racist” is basically Donald Trump’s middle name.
To call someone a racist is a really major charge. A racist is an individual who believes that one race is naturally exceptional or inferior to another. It’s not intelligence, character or values that figure out an individual’s worth; it’s his/her skin color.
To state that racism is foolish and silly– not to discuss wicked– is to downplay the case. According to most Democrats, Republicans are that foolish and that evil.
So, let’s take a look at some conservative policies to see if they are, undoubtedly, racist. The left has a legitimate problem if they are. And if they’re not, then the left is lying.
The longstanding conservative opposition to Affirmative Action is a good location to begin. It was Democratic president John F. Kennedy who, in 1961, first utilized the term “affirmative action.” Affirmative Action in the method we believe of it now wasn’t carried out till 1970, during the administration of a Republican president, Richard Nixon.
The theory was that, because of historical discrimination, blacks were at a competitive disadvantage to other races and ethnic backgrounds. To eliminate that disadvantage, standards that most blacks probably could not meet needed to be decreased.
The conservative position is that blacks have actually consistently proven they can compete with anybody without the benefits of lower standards. There are many examples of black success in every field, at every level.
Study after research study reveals that, in the case of college admissions, affirmative action harms more blacks than it helps. By reducing admissions standards for blacks (and some other minority trainees), colleges set numerous of these students up for failure.
