Lora Ries is a senior research study fellow for homeland security at The Heritage Foundation. She has more than 23 years’ experience in the migration and homeland security arena. Ries two times operated at the Department of Homeland Security on management and migration policy and operations problems, most simply recently as the Acting Deputy Chief of Staff.
