Many bible scholars concludes that the book of Esther is not a true story with no Historical evidence as the Recorded wife of Xerxes was Amestris.
This revelation shocked me.
Is there any solid baking to this.
The second day they killed their enemies was only in the capital of Susa, not the whole kingdom.
Esther was Mordecai's cousin not his niece.
Love these visual summary sketches of books in the bible. To date they've all seemed solid. I'm not a critical person, as I'm much more appreciative of these efforts. But I'll add one small detail to correct. Around the 29 second area of the video, it says Esther is the niece of Mordecai. They're actually cousins. Outside of that recommended adjustment, I've sincerely enjoyed your videos… keep up the great work! 👏
Hello! I'm a Hebrew Bible nerd and I teach Biblical Hebrew and Bible Study. I use your videos all the time in teaching the Bible, and I have seen most of them multiple times. I absolutely love this simplified explanation of the story of Esther! However, there is one thing that you did get wrong.
When King Xerxes found out that Haman was the one who ordered the Jews to be killed, the cause of execution was not impaling. Haman constructed 75 feet tall gallows at his own home to hang the Jews by their necks. King Xerxes ordered Haman to be hanged by his own gallows [Read Esther 7:9-10]
This might be a translation error depending on what translation you are reading, but I just wanna correct this mistake. Nothing serious! Thank you anyways for this great story explanation nonetheless
