From a quick analysis of the numerous Christian testimonials, I have only seen one that gives any value to apologetics in bring them to a faith of some kind and even then not to a life saving or changing relationship with Christ.
Jesus said: " you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." Then in John 14:6 Jesus says: " I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father but by Me." Notice that the way and the life are centered by the truth.Truth of scripture coupled with the Truth that is Christ confirms Holy Spirit conviction. Yet the Holy Spirit is the one who convicts and Jesus is the one who saves. Yes, be ready to defend the Gospel and God's word! Know that truth well! For you will need it to be fully obedient to Christ in making disciples of those who covenant with God to be saved!
