It seems that nothing has changed even when the Isrealites were in the wilderness. They were always going astray and following false gods and false prophets. Anyone can say they are a Christian but do they actually follow Jesus Christ and the Bible? If not then they are following some other religion.
Fascinating. As an ex Christian and an atheist, hearing your thoughts on the matter is interesting. Take care everyone.
I'm 68 and I'm a traditional born again Christian. Praise God forevermore and his Son. But… there is a whole lot of authentic junk that needs to be gotten rid of. In fact, I don't tell people I'm a Christian, I tell them I'm a follower of, and a believer in, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Because so much junk has been added onto the term. Ergo, I certainly don't identify with the majority of TV "Christians".
By the way. Love your program.
666 or 616? And Why? Do you have any good infos or Talks about that! ? Thank you!
Before you can repair or restore, you have to analyze…investigate and move forward from that…
Even people leaving religion do it “religiously “ and maintain some sort of conviction even about that!
Love what you guys are doing, warriors of Christ!
I like your shirt by the way, ol' Shenmue 3 😄
i listen to your pod casts all the time, i watch on youtube occasionally, i have read all your books, thank you for your work for the church
Great video very informative
The Truth of God is like a Plumbline. The Plumb is what God has said, but the handle is what God is saying. The tension line is where Jesus is. In this Generation it seems there are 2 ditches: those that use what God IS saying against what God HAS said and those that leverage what God HAS said against what he IS saying. Sometimes adjustments need to be made in the plumbline, but it needs to be done WHILE keeping the tension line between the two intact. The modern Christian seems to be struggling with that concept.
This is so interesting. Thank you.
I had no idea what it meant, and appreciate the time to explain it.
If you get your Christianity to confirm to culture, you've left Christianity behind for some hollow pretense! In other words, it is no longer Christianity!
I know I have "fine tuned" my beliefs in seeking truth from Scripture and have held to the foundational beliefs
To me, the kind of "deconstructing" I have done (without using that term) is I am following Christ Jesus and the Bible but NOT more recent centuries' traditions of men such as Christmas and Easter, which CLEARLY are based on pagan traditions, and which God clearly told us NOT to do (not to worship Him as pagan worship their false gods). There is no Christmas in the Bible, and it is clearly NOT anywhere near his birthday, but IS on or near the birthday of the antichrist god Tammuz. And similar things about rabbits and fertility eggs that have NOTHING to do with the Bible. I also believe things in the Bible that most churches do not even talk about — such as the Nephilim (giants) and how they were in the days of Noah; and how Jesus told us that in the latter days it would be "as in the days of Noah." I'm definitely still a Christian, just not a church-going one.
The word is renovate I’m renovating my faith… 😂
Deconstruction=Rationalization to live by my own rules, denial of absolute truth. Often, deconstruction is a volitional act that conflates emotion with reason. It's a shame some have been hurt by the church and Christians, but whatever the emotional effect, it doesn't take from the truth of the Gospel.
I have never heard of this but it sounds to me like it's coming from people who are ' lukewarm ' anyway…… cherry picking even, so they believe what is convenient .
I find being a Christian is not convenient as it is easy to find myself on the outside of the general world view on things…..but I think I'll stick with it anyway …. unfiltered .
Thanks for the video guys and God bless you both.
