Mail-In Ballots Are Vulnerable to Fraud | Hans von Spakovsky on Fox News
Our entire election system was designed for in-person voting. We do not have the administrative infrastructure to ensure a clean election, and absentee ballots are cast outside the supervision of election officials and outside the presence of election observers.
The absentee ballot system introduces huge blind spots in the chain of custody. It is in these blind spots where abuses often occur.

Why do you people keep confusing MAIL-IN BALLOTS with ABSENTEE BALLOTS. I am older & have been using ABSENTEE BALLOTS for years. My signature has been confirmed, etc. MAIL-IN ballots have been concocted just this past year, by Democrats, with the excuse that citizens would want these to avoid Covid exposure. MAIL-IN. BALLOTS are totally unverifiable & used by corrupt pollsters to Harvest votes & other abuses. Please clarify this distinction.

The Republican Voter Fraud Mythology of modern times may have begun down here in San Diego where the Carl Rove administration fired our U.S. Attorney along with a large bunch of others across this Nation. The stated commonality of wrongdoing at the time was that those Federal Prosecutors would not pursue cases for what former Congressman Bob Dornan and current Congressman Darryll Issa were describing as "voter fraud." Some years before, Dornan contended much of the same thing when he lost to Loretta Sanchez which would up in a rather ugly public display of embarrassment for the former Congressman. Despite these ostensible P/R setbacks, Republicans saw red meat when they talked about the "voter fraud" issue on talk radio which turned out to be a methodology for road testing ideas about how the Democrats have been cheating in elections by purposely utilizing voter fraud to win elections that should have been won by Republicans. This was a good and reasonable "sell" to an all too egomaniac cohort of the populace ready to blame anyone but themselves and their own ideas for loosing elections.

For what good purpose should who you vote for be held in secrecy? In order to maintain legitimacy in our elections voters should be given a receipt of their vote with a unique identifier and if the total results are posted publicly and electronically providing the voters identifier and who they voted for is the only way we can know for certain that our elections are not compromised. Those ballots not counted should also be public information and held for accountability.

39-40 states allow you to check if your ballot was received. If one checks on election day and ballot is not recorded that morning than one can go vote on 11/3 by requesting a provisional ballot due to concern ballot may be delayed or lost. There you go.

The only way the vote can be hacked is if the electronic voter ID databases are compromised. Simply mailing in a fraudulent ballot won’t count as a vote, all paper and mail-in ballots are compared to an electronic database first. This is true in every state, even those that vote in-person and especially with electronic voting machines. Comparing paper to electronic records is how they detect and investigate voter fraud in the first place.
