    1 Doth not wisdom call, and understanding put forth her voice?

    It is the voice that guides, and she is urging us to listen

    2 In the top of high places by the way, where the paths meet, she standeth;

    This is our conscience and She is there, when we are in two minds or at a crossroad She calls.

    3 Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors, she crieth aloud:

    Giving reason freely and hoping it sinks in, and yes we are that city. But of course we have to accept her advice before we let it enter the heart, or the heart of the city.
