  8. To truly answer the question of “Why did God favor Abel” (not that they didn’t answer it truly) In The Bible God mentions that the only way for sun to be cleaned is through blood, Abel brought blood and Cain didn’t. Simple @NSeven 111 5:04

I believe the First Parents are archetypes, as the human species gained sentience and rose above the animals: It is an ascension story (the atheists who cry, are crying about ascending), and then God gave responsibility for our sins. The thing is in all storytelling we use brevity and clarity, and all unnecessary features are excluded: This means the stories of the Holy Bible are narratives. All narratives are false before the literal reality, but true for the storytelling, including when it seems weird and supernatural (King David slayed the giant during war, and it is a strange story, but can be true in the narrative, where it is about David and not the giant). By example, a Hollywood movie about the Cameraman and by a Cameraman excludes elements of the producers, the directors, the writers, cast, crew, and the studio artists, because the narrative is the Cameraman, and it has unusual moments. The simple people will declare this lying, but to Hollywood this is normal storytelling, because the audience won't sit through a story about producers when it is about the Cameraman. This is the reality of language, we tell stories by context, and we keep the narrative to the story. Even though the Garden of Eden has other things in it that are not reported, they are irrelevant to the story at hand, because they are distractions to the message.

  15. If I'm not mistaken, aren't there different words to describe how "man" and "Adam" came into being? I know "Adam" means "man," but I've read about a differentiation referring to translation of the creation story that might be relevant. When the Bible says "made," it's referring to other creatures, including humans, that are NOT Adam. When the Bible says "create," it is explicitly referring to Adam. I'm not familiar enough with older translations to pronounce this as absolute truth but it does help to explain the possible existence of other humans during Adam & Eve's stay in the garden but before Cain & Abel are born.

    I just Googled the words "make" and "create." "Make" is a newer word, from a base word meaning "fitting" or "match." "Create" is from Latin, and it refers to "forming out of nothing, as of a spiritual or supernatural being." Now the Scriptures need to be studied to watch for instances of "make" and "create." Maybe other humans were "made," but Adam, the ancestor of Jesus, was "created." Maybe?

  22. Hebrews 11:5 tells us that Abel offered a better sacrifice “by faith.” Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing the word of God. The reason Abel’s was accepted was it was according to God’s word which he obey by faith. The implication is that Cain’s was not by faith, i.e., according to God’s word.
