  7. You know why y’all to discredit History because it makes you the monsters that you are. That’s why you can’t learn from your past history because you want to continue to repeat it. White people trying to rewrite history are the biggest Terrorist in the world. Y’all have murdered, killed, stolen, pilferage every land you set foot on. Wake up and own what you did and stop trying to revise it. That’s how you heal. Your first wealth was off the backs of BLACK AFRICANS as COMMODITY. Own it!!!!

  14. Many civilizations used slavery are we going to hold them all accountable? What about the jews? Should they be able to seek reperations from Germans and Egyptians? So many people of different ethnic backgrounds were slaves over many thousands of years. Wouldn't it be more productive to move forward instead of focusing on the past? Should today's Egyptians be forced to pay to right the wrongs of Egyptians thousands of years ago? Absolutely not. No black person alive today has ever been a slave. No white person alive today has ever owned a single slave. Get over it and move on. The Idea of reperations is absolutly ridiculous.

  15. To use famous Black folks to claim that the US got rid of racism is a very narrow minded view of the racial inequalities in this country. You have to dig into the lives of common Black folks to get a full picture. Have you heard of red lining?

  19. I mean to be fair, all this sounds like what they're essentially proposing. This video has nothing about lies and is just speaking about a narrative that both sides generally agree on. The problem with this video is that it's so surface level that of course no differences can be found. I'd encourage you to research specific points proposed by 1619 and detail them exactly. I'm not even a proponent of 1619, but I think instead of ignorantly saying we despise something, we should come to terms with what's similar and different for the content in a mature fashion.

  20. Remeber people, the United States did not come into being until the revolutionary War. Before that we were a colony.

    This what we call now the United States was not noticed really until 1492 when an Italian man named Christopher Columbus who was looking for a faster way to india.the constitution was not ratified until 1787 and the Bill of Rights that was ratified in 1791. Before that others have come and done just as bad to the Natives.

    Yes there is alot to unpack regurding 1619, however the puritans did not arrive until a year later.

    No one people are innocent nor are they wholey responsible. A race cannot and should not be held to the sins of the father.

  21. It was a wealthy Jewish slave trader named Haym Salomon who financed the American Revolution. Which allowed slavery to continue for another 100 years. So project 1619 not way off with it's claims.

  22. Hitler was not a white nationalist. In the words of Jessie Owens: "Hitler didn't snob me, FDR did". Also, Owens returned to America to be segregated again despite winning a gold medal for America. Looks like Owens couldn't destroy America's idea of white supremacy.

  32. There are 50+ academic professionals (PhDs, professors, researchers, etc) collaborated on the 1619 Project. So, tell me how many renowned and distinguished scholars collaborated on this so called “1619 Lies”? What are their credentials and qualifications for this group that in a manner of a few months created the alternative to “1619 Project”. I’m sorry, but history is not based on separate narratives to make certain groups feel better, but it’s based on actual factual events. History is the branch of knowledge dealing with past events. a continuous, systematic narrative of past events as relating to a particular people, country, period, person, etc., usually written as a chronological account. Additionally, the 1619 Project has gone through countless critical discussions and reviews and debates all based on research materials used to organized set of bibliographic information about resources found during research that might be helpful to authenticate events. It is customary that historical events of African Americans in the USA has “always” been whitewashed, minimized, depicted as truths, and actually erased from history, such the number of slave revolts (250+), number of black deaths from Race Massacres of a hundreds, but counted less than a dozen, etc. Now, you think that Americans are that ignorant to buy into “simple opinions”. Get real and Do professional and academic and deliberate research. It’s 2023, not 1823. Produce your research and data so that it can be debated, critiqued and by academia. I will never take opinions over renowned and respected academic professionals.

  35. Let me stop you right there. So many things to mention… wow…

    1: After those 15,000 blacks were elected, they were soon "removed" by white mobs.
    2: After the civil war, the USA was not "Flawed" but "free to all". As this completely glosses over the whole share cropping, jim crow (surprise lynchings era). Clearly "free to all" simply means "you won't get abitrarily murdered, jailed, or forced to work. Not without a legal excuse to cover it." If this is the definition of free to all but flawed, gtfo.
    3: Laws were passed to continue to oppress black people… "undaunted, BLACK PEOPLE STEADFASTLY marched forward to the vision America promised centuries ago and was summarily met with hoses, bloodshed, attack dogs, and more surprise lynching by "America".
    4: "Why would anyone want to destroy such a legacy?": ASK RON DESANFART! This cretan is systematically removing any such history that makes a particular group of people uncomfy.

  36. You’re lying about why the civil war was fought. It was fought to stop the succession of the south from the Union. Emancipation was a by product. Lincoln freed the slaves to get more soldiers for their cause. It was a necessary evil which is why the black man had to continue to fight to get their right to be counted as a whole man. The struggle continues as black people are finding strength in the truth, not in your shady representation of “his” story. Go back and check yourself. I haven’t seen the 1619 project but I am sure there is a lot more truth in it than here.

  37. I'm in tears. This is what makes us great. This is what makes us remarkable. Ever pushing forward toward that great ideal…a more perfect union. I don't see anything wrong with telling the history of slaves and slave owners. You wanna claim America started with slaves? Fine. It only makes our journey that much more remarkable. The war for Independence, the Underground Railroad, the abolitionist movement, the Civil War, the reconstruction period, the civil rights movement….none of these events belong to one group or another…it's our story collectively. We rose, we fell, we triumphed and were set back all together. The racists and hate filled people of our past are the losers in our story, not the winners. I salute this effort and I fully support your message of American Unity. One nation, under God…..

  38. Keep in mind that slave labor built the White House & Capitol. I don't think the 1619 Project is inaccurate. Slaves were brought to the new world…..Remember, this is from a conservative organization. Watch it and decide for yourselves.
