I have one question-when he said some scholars believe 1400 BC to be the beginning, but that goes against the Biblical genealogy of dates from Adam to Jesus…so why would they possibly come up with that number? Was it a verbal mistake, 1404 bc?

He would be the first to say don't rely soley on Him so the fact that He presents each book like it's the most important book in the Bible is amazing. It's absolutely true that Jesus is on every page of the Bible, and I think Chuck brings that out like few could.

Let me say at the outset that I really enjoy Bro Chuck's teaching and over years have learned very much from him. Since I have heard other preacher/teachers do this same thing, I thought I would question it here. And it's this: why do we have to make a mystery where there is no mystery? i.e. why the disciples (on the road to Emmaus) didn't recognize Jesus. Bro Chuck and others have come up with "solutions" when verse 16 (chapter 24) states plainly, "But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him." NKJ Perhaps someone knows something about this language that I don't understand. I would like to hear comments and correction. Thanks.
