Again about that wage gap myth.
How many people will see the title, not watch the panel, and have their belief in the wage gap myth reinforced? My bet is it will be more people than will watch the video.
You telling me that a women studies degree doesn't pay as well as an Engineering degree? SEXIST!!
Couples have a child. You can not negotiate with an infant; you must take care of the infant. At least one of the parents must work and taking care of a child is very hard job but highly rewarding. Your boss doesn’t run screaming with delight when you start your day.
This should have been a 2 min video max. The wage gap is a myth. Disparity between the sexes is based on choices in careers along with amount of time in the labor force. I can't believe they made a 52 minute video on a subject debunked so many times on YouTube years ago.

The wage gap exists. Not because there is a difference in pay for the same job. No. The wage gap exists because the work that women do is not valued. So the jobs that women are good at and want to work at, pay relatively nothing. Women's work is NOT VALUED.
women mostly work part time in safe, clean, undemanding, office jobs. They also tend to take the most vacation and sick time and often leave the work force as soon as they Marry their beast of burden. Plus women tend to spend most of the day talking and gossiping… They should make .25% of what men earn.
94% of all work place deaths are men, 80% of all homeless people are men, 81% of all suicide victims are men, more men lose custody of children after divorce. There is no such thing as a gender wage gap
THE ONLY solution to their fruit loopy view is this
Men should get 50% less than woman to be an equilibrium of pay
due to the fact men work longer hours and woman work less, therefore men need less cash.
Example if a man gets $10 per hour, he should only earn $5 while the woman earn the $10
Men should just shut the hell up and subsidise the woman's laziness.
"why do moms stay at home instead of dads??" um, because moms are better suited for it? and men should be out earning money to support his family? any man who stays at home instead of the woman is not a man.
If businesses could actually pay women less than they pay men they would never hire men. Belief in a gender pay gap requires a suspension in all logic.
But its bullshit. Throw it on the pile next to the swamp instead.
My personal opinion is that women should be paid less. They contribute nothing but complaints and are pretty useless at their jobs. Women are not that great especially at work. This #metoo movement, like feminism has created enormous tension between men and women in the workplace which has NOT been conducive to a productive work environment. It may be time for them to shut up before we remove them from the work environment permanently. If this happens, nothing would change except that things would become more efficient. Conversely, if we removed men from the work place, everything would fall apart.
Ok, comparing the medians of the income distributions for men and women doesnt solve the wage gap equation. One variable they wont factor in is the law, its illegal for dicriminating period. Even two men or two woman applying for the same job to get different starting pay rate like degrees, interview impression, prior experience, contracts etc. Wage gap doesnt exist
Women are paid exactly the same amount as men for the same work, this is by law, the gender pay gap is there as women as a group earn less than men as a group.
This is because as a group, women tend to work less hours and are not working dangerous jobs like oil rigging, crane operators, mining, logging, industrial machinery, underwater welding ect, this is because a man is usually expected to share his wage with his partner and family, but in a lot of cases women are not expected to and she keeps it all for herself once married.
So women doesn’t have the same pressure on her that the family man does, so she doesn’t work as hard
