Didn't Joseph's brothers plan to kill him and then Ruben said to through him in a pit instead( so he could come rescue him later)? They thought he was dead, they didn't sell him into slavery.

2:30 this is cap.Jacob doesn’t devise this plan. His mom, Rebekah, does! Jacob doesn’t even want to go along with it!
U guys should tell the story as is, it’s already good enough as is.
And I quote Genesis chapter 27 5-13
Now Rebekah was listening as Isaac spoke to his son Esau. When Esau left for the open country to hunt game and bring it back, Rebekah said to her son Jacob, “look I overheard your father say to your brother Esau ‘bring me some game and prepare me some tasty food to eat, so that i may give you my blessing in the presence of the LORD before I die’. Now, my son, listen carefully and do what I tell you: go out to the flock and bring me two choice young goats, so I can prepare some tasty food for your father, just the way he likes is. Then take it to your father to eat, so that he may give you his blessing before he dies.”
Jacob then said to Rebekah his mother “but my brother Esau is a hairy man while I have smooth skin. What if my father touches me? I would appear to be tricking him and would bring down a curse on myself rather than a blessing.”
His mother said to him, “my son, let the curse fall on me. Just do what I say; go and get them for me.”
His mother devises the plan, then when Jacob objects, pragmatically and somewhat morally, his mom commands him to do it anyway.
I don’t understand why you guys feel the need to change the narrative🥴

He doesn’t give Sarah away, he doesn’t basically do that either. He’s scared for his life so he has her to say she’s his sister. Probably wrong to do for sure but just tell the story as is guys!

Correction: Jacob didn’t come up with the plan, his mother did. She even promised to take the curse upon herself if Jacob was found out.
Interesting to think about: she did this even though she already had the promise of God that the older would serve the younger.
I think this is so epic! It is so well drawn and, for the good purpose of saving humanity, or helping us understand we are saved, by God, through Jesus. Because God loves us so much that He made that promise, wow, sorry for the spoilers, but, where can I donate? I support this so much!
