If, for the same work, women make only 77 cents for every dollar a man makes, why don’t businesses hire only women? Wages are the biggest expense for most businesses. So, hiring only women would reduce costs by nearly a quarter – and that would go right to the bottom line. Don’t businesses want to be profitable? Or, are they just really bad at math?
Well, actually, it’s the feminists, celebrities and politicians spreading this wage gap myth who have the math problem.
Here’s why:
The 77-cents-on-the-dollar statistic is calculated by dividing the median earnings of all women working full-time by the median earnings of all men working full-time. In other words, if the average income of all men is, say, 40,000 dollars a year, and the average annual income of all women is, say, 30,800 dollars, that would mean that women earn 77 cents for every dollar a man earns. 30,800 divided by 40,000 equals .77.
But these calculations don’t reveal a gender wage injustice because it doesn’t take into account occupation, position, education or hours worked per week.
Even a study by the American Association of University Women, a feminist organization, shows that the actual wage gap shrinks to only 6.6 cents when you factor in different choices men and women make. And the key word here is “choice.” The small wage gap that does exist has nothing to do with paying women less, let alone with sexism; it has to do with differences in individual career choices that men and women make.
In 2009, the U.S. Department of Labor released a paper that examined more than 50 peer-reviewed studies and concluded that the oft-cited 23 percent wage gap “may be almost entirely the result of individual choices being made by both male and female workers.” Well, let’s look at some of those choices.
Georgetown University compiled a list of the five best-paying college majors, and the percentage of men or women majoring in those fields:
Number 1 best-paying major: Petroleum Engineering: 87% male
Number 2: Pharmaceutical Sciences: 48% male
3: Mathematics and Computer Science: 67% male
4: Aerospace Engineering: 88% male
5: Chemical Engineering: 72% male
Notice that women out-represent men in only one of the five top-paying majors – by only a few percentage points.
Now consider the same study’s list of the five worst paying college majors:
Number 1: Counseling and Psychology: 74% female
Number 2: Early Childhood Education: 97% female
3: Theology and Religious Vocations: 66% male
4: Human Services and Community Organization: 81% female
5: Social Work: 88% female
Here, it’s the women who lead in all but one category. Even within the same profession, men and women make different career choices that impact how much money they make. Take nursing, where male nurses on the whole earn 18% more than female nurses. The reason? Male nurses gravitate to the best-paying nursing specialties, they work longer hours, and disproportionately find jobs in cities with the highest compensation.

What's does this prove? More men are better at math.
They literally made up a study so that they can say look even the feminists agree with us🤣🤣. They said that the AAU conducted a study that revealed when factoring in the different career choices that men and women make the gap shrinks to 6.6 cents. The AAU literally never conducted that study. They are a huge advocate for the gender pay gap being real. Why would they make a study to disprove it. They even stated on their website “a persistent pay gap between men and women continues to hurt our nation’s workers… Women in the U.S. are still paid just 84 cents to every dollar earned by men… Pay equity will remain an AAUW priority until the gap is fully eliminated.” Whether you believe in the gender pay gap is up to you and that's your opinion, but just don't believe everything you hear on the Internet. Since they made up a study this video is not the most reliable source of information.

Men will work themselves to death, while most women see work as just a thing they have to do to survive. It's pretty obvious why men make more on average.
My guess is that men are also better at negotiating salaries and/or pay rises.
That alone would account for a 6%-7% difference.
I'm surprised they did not include the fact that it's women…yes, women…who have children and are most often the ones who care for the newborn. Even so, this vid is yet another strike against the WOKE, the uber-feminists and the hyper-progressives here in the US and in other developed nations where these horrible ideas and lies seems to flourish.
I wonder if we can survive the scourge of WOKE. It's in part because of this phenomenon that Trump will probably be POTUS again. And I hate Trump. So the WOKEsters should accept some of the blame for this mess….but they never will own up to their deeply flawed ideology.

Feminists: Hard-working men are misogynists who steal women's wages.
Maybe it's not a choice, but a necessity since certain employers of high paying occupations refuse to hire females…
A waitress should not earn what a deep see fisherman earns one has zero mortalitiy risk the other is the most dangerous proffesion. The wage gap argument is nonsense!
Nice, objective analysis. Thank you,
The reason that the women dominate lower paying jobs is because of sexism. Men dont just "Make better career choices" they dont face as many roadblocks, so they can get to higher pay easier.
If women earned less than men for the same work, then every company on the planet would only hire women
It only makes sense for them to save money on labor
The reality is that in the workplace men generally work more hours than women
Women on the other hand, typically work more hours in the home, which is just as important for society, but there is no monetary compensation
The left invented this notion in order to have another vapid talking point

Hey prager u , can you pist links to the studies sited?
In Australia we have the (tax payer funded) Workplace Gender Equality Agency. On two separate parliament hearings, they were proud to announce that their statistics did not account for differences in:
– Hours worked.
– Professions chosen.
– Industry sectors chosen.
– Seniority/performance for the same job.
– Maternity leave.
They also admitted that they did not compare whether men and women were paid the same for the same job (given its illegal to pay men and women differently).
When this was pointed out, their explanation was that this is not how the "gender paygap" is assessed internationally (or by their own standards), and that by simply summing up all male and female pays and dividing it by the median, this was how you would determine the "gender paygap", despite its flaws. When it was called out, they just did not seem to understand how this was a blatant miss-use of data and statistics because they were following an "international model" (which is clearly developed that way to arrive at the conclusion they want). Not to mention that if they did compare it fairly, their own agency (jobs) would cease to exist.
Also worth mentioning that the WGEA argue for the importance of "Diversity" while their own employees are made up of 80% 40+ white women, and only 20% males.
Christina, MERCI !
Fun fact: statistically speaking, people who earn more money, have more money
Notice how the best paying jobs in the examples given tended to be about things, and the worst paying jobs were more about people?
Things are scalable, whereas people tend not to be.
Once you have designed and tested a demparple to filarrp a series of winjigoes, you can set up a production line to churn out your new demparples by the million – kerching! Pay that designer shed loads.
But if you are a specialist nurse performing crimptarsling on people's broken trandigroiks, you will only ever be able to crimptarsle one patient at a time – maybe a maximum of 32 trandigroiks treated in a day.
Another thing living amongst real, actual human beings will inform you inside a week, is that men like mucking about with things and women love interacting with people.
Women are biologically drawn to one on one type jobs with lots of human interaction. Men love nothing more than to be left alone with things and stuff and clobber.
I know, I'm a man and i cannot imagine why anyone would want to work with people. People are complicated and unpredictable. But give me a pile of winjigoes to filarrp and I'm as happy as a snake with legs.
Reverse parking…. that's where the true gap exists
I would like the sources to this video too. Speaking on it just simply isn't enough anymore. We need citations. (Trying use this for my school project.) 😅
Also men ask for a raise more often than women, apparently x8 more frequently! Men with more testosterone and more height earn more than sorter or lower testosterone men. That is not a patriarchy issue but differences in basic human nature.
Do you have the sources for the percentages of worst and best paying college majors you mentioned?
Hduducydhc
We need women like Christina telling these facts because when guys say it we're alleged mansplainers colluding with the patriarchy.
This will be on "past society's feelings which are changed in contemporary years" textbook. 좆들에게 자유를 ! ㅋㅋㅗ
Guys, should I do a powerpoint presentation on this topic in a class full of feminists?
Most WOMEN = CHAOS Delusional Fantasy Romance
Most MEN = ORDER Logical Fantasy Family Action
There is no “wage gap”. There is an EARNINGS gap. If businesses could pay women less for the same effectiveness of work, there would be a greater male unemployment rate. I also worked in Freight Brokerage and Automotive Sales, which are both commission based and men almost always earned more. Men and women earned the exact same percentage of their profits. So, in these industries, men are literally worth more. We made more money for the company and ourselves. These arguments are actually about DEMANDED equity, not earned or deserved equity.
mistake 1: median =/= average, whole different thing.
mistake 2: that those 0.66 cents are just because of choice is not true and the study by the university doesn’t show this at all. To understand the phenomenon of gender pay gap, you need to distinguish between adjusted and unadjusted gender pay gap. The unadjusted one is a simple division as mentioned, without accounting for job choices, education, experience, share of women vs. men in employment fields, etc., whereas the adjusted one DOES keep ALL those factors into account, INCLUDING JOB CHOICE! So this shows that there indeed is a pay gap, even with those factors taken into account.
Greetings from the UK…..It's not a Gender Pay Gap,its an Accomplishment gap.
So basically women want communism
Can confirm this is completely wrong – as someone who access to Compensation data that is not available to the public. There is absolutely a gender gap, but it's driven by lack of opportunity on a wholistic scale. Dont buy this stupid nonsense lol
I just had a 2 day long argument with feminists on facebook about this… I'm glad to see I was correct.
