What Americans Must Know About Socialism
Socialism is not what it purports to be. It doesn’t mean common ownership and shared responsibility. It means that the government makes every decision and cannot be challenged.

Wow, over three years since posting and fewer than 8k views, good work Heritage, working hard for that right wing welfare.😂 clearly offering a superior product here, thats why so many are watching. According to their own propaganda, Heritage must be contributing to value the economy, or else how do they stay in business? In this 'free-market of ideas' they have productions that dont come close to paying for themselves, so how do they stay in business? How do they stay in business when theyre screaming into the abyss and no one is watching? Maybe Heritage isnt actually actually participating in a free market? Maybe Heritage is supported by handouts from elites with an agenda. (8/7/22, 7.8k views)
Im going to say this straight. WHAT ROT. If you believe this , youve been targetted by propoganda. You honestly genuinely have. And because youve never lived in another country that does have respectable socialism, you dont know that youre being hoodwinked, or listening to paranoia. I have lived in a so called socialist country all my life and its been a pleasure to live here. when I gave birth to my daughter, I paid $15 for a script the doctor left me with, had a free emergency cesarean, had excellent care, stayed in hospital in my own room for 4 days, and paid zero. You people who think youre going to miss all this tax money are wrong wrong wrong. You dont even notice it, but you do notice a better standard of living. The long waiting times now are actually NOT due to socialism at all! Its due to the opposite – corporatism and greed! The slow privatisation of our systems! And because our politicians are now working for corporate greedy bastards, they are giving them all the tax breaks and not supporting the common man. Its truly got very little to do with socialism. Vile.dictators have actually got NOTHING TO TO WITH SOCIALISM. SOCIALISM IS NOT COMMUNISM. REPEAT. SOCIALISM IS NOT COMMUNISM. YOU ARE BEING HOODWINKED OR ARE BEING EXPOSED TO PARANOID BELIEFS.
You’re a goon, there are so many CURRENT democratic socialist countries in the world RIGHT NOW that have 10x better quality of life than in the United States. The US is a dystopian joke of a country, and the laughing stock of the world. Quit lying to yourself and everyone else and educate yourself. Of course countries have failed in socialism, countries have failed with capitalism as well. Why do we have an economic crash every 10 years? Because that’s just “the business cycle”. Why do the top 1% of our country hold 32% of the wealth while the bottom 50% of Americans have 2%? Does that not seem a bit messed up? Call me radical but democratic socialism works, and the same as the feudal system was, capitalism too is outdated.

Capitalism vs Socialism:

What a deceptive video which itself is full of omissions. Universal healthcare is far better than free market healthcare for what is the object of healthcare be it state run or free market. The object is to provide the citizens of a country with health services. In the state run healthcare everyone no matter who they are no matter how much money the have has access to good safe healthcare. In the free market model only those who can afford healthcare can have access to it and if you can't afford it you can't have it. That's the capitalist model of free market healthcare in that you must make money out of the people who use it. So you need an unhealthy citizenry so they'll access it as often as possible so you gear your food chain so that cheap rubbish fast and processed food will make people get sick more often so you can make lots of money out of them with your free market healthcare. In other countries fast processed food is more expensive than fresh fruit, meat and vegetables. It's in the interests of the state to see that their people have healthy options.
You mention India as following a socialist model and failing at it but you deliberately fail to mention that India has universal healthcare for all it's 1.4 billion people.
Bernie Sanders and AOC don't know anything about socialism and don't want it. They only go on about how great they think it is because it gets them reelected and they use the same tactic with universal healthcare. They both love the free market healthcare system but it won't get them reelected so they they talk up the wonders of universal healthcare because that will get them reelected. Democrat and republican there's no difference and neither gives a toss about the voters they only care about themselves.
You Americans like to shout to the world about your freedom yet on the World Human Freedom Index you rank at No.16 right behind the UK at No.15. My Australia is No.8 and Switzerland is No.1 basically because Switzerland's people have a huge input into their political system that we three don't. In Switzerland if the government wants to do something and some people don't like it then they only need to get 100K signatures and the government MUST hold a referendum on what they want to do. If the government wins the referendum the changes happen but if the government loses the referendum then the changes don't happen and the government can't just ignore the people and do what it wants. That's real democracy in action and our three countries don't have real democracy.
So what's social democracy….surely that's not communist….
This Peterson guy sounds like right tw@t. You lie….what do you get from this….money and clicks… Wouldn't want to be I'll in America….
Why thank you conservative think tank Heritage Foundation for teaching me about the evils of socialism. Please make sure to let your chairman, Thomas A. Sanders, an investment banker and co-founder of a private equity firm that i see no conflict of interest in your existence
Almost every other country has no problem distinguishing socialism and communism. The real delusion in America seems to be the denial of such difference regardless of what is presented to them. I have no idea how many times other people need to repeat that, but it seems to go over people's heads nonetheless.
I recently heard them say, "You're going to own nothing and you're going to love it!!!" Wow are people gullible today!
Socialism sucks
Socialism≠Stalinism
1. This is obviously propaganda
2. About India. Karl Marx wanted that workers rebel in industrialized countries, not hell 2.0
3. Why do you think that all leftist movements are creating a dictatorship, when 90% of all successful countries, that are also socialistic, are democratic?

Top 10 Most Socialist Countries in the World
By Peerform · On December 6, 2012
The term socialist has been thrown around quite a bit in the past few years. Not since the cold war has the term garnered so much attention in the press and from politicians. But when you look at countries who actually have a socialist economic structure, you can see some similarities to the United States – but there are some really stark differences.
Below, you will see some of the most socialistic nations in the world today:
China
Denmark
Finland
Netherlands
Canada
Sweden
Norway
Ireland
New Zealand
Belgium
Despite popular myths, there is very little connection between economic performance and welfare expenditure. Many of the countries on this list are proof of that, such as Denmark and Finland. Even though both countries are more socialistic than America, the workforce remains stronger.
China
In China the government manages and controls the economy. Many of the domestic companies are owned and run by the government. Recently, the Chinese economy has become more geared towards capitalism, but is still officially socialist. Life in China remains relatively less stressful and more relaxed than life in capitalist countries like America.
Denmark
Denmark has a wide range of welfare benefits that they offer their citizens. As a result, they also have the highest taxes in the world. Equality is considered the most important value in Denmark. Small businesses thrive, with over 70 percent of companies having 50 employees or less.

Finland
Finland has one of the world’s best education systems, with no tuition fees and also giving free meals to their students. The literacy rate in Finland is 100 percent. Finland has one of the highest standards of living in the world. Like Denmark and other European countries, equality is considered one of the most important values in society. Whereas in the Netherlands, government control over the economy remains at a minimum, but a socialist welfare system remains. The lifestyle in the Netherlands is very egalitarian and organized, where even bosses do not discipline or treat their subordinates rudely.

Canada
Like the Netherlands, Canada also has mostly a free market economy, but has a very extensive welfare system that includes free health and medical care. Canadians remain more open-minded and liberal than Americans, and Canada is ranked as one of the best top five countries to live in by the United Nations and the Human Development Index (HDI) rankings.
Image
Sweden
Sweden has a large welfare system, but due to a high national debt, required much government intervention in the economy. In Norway, the government controls certain key aspects of the national economy, and they also have one of the best welfare systems in the world, with Norway having one of the highest standards of living in all of Europe. Norway is not a member of the European Union.
Image
Ireland
Ireland has arguably one of the best welfare systems in the world, with unemployment checks higher on average than Denmark or Switzerland’s average. Around 25 percent of Ireland’s GDP goes towards paying for the welfare system, as compared to 15 percent of America’ GDP towards America’s social support programs.
Image
New Zealand
New Zealand may not be a socialist country, but the welfare system in the country is very wide ranging, offering support for housing, unemployment, health, child care, and education as well. Therefore, New Zealand has many of the characteristics of a socialist country, even while remaining officially free market.

Belgium
Lastly, Belgium has most of the same social security benefits that New Zealand offers, including invalid and old age pensions. The welfare system causes much of the country’s budget deficit though, and so is considered by some to be a burden on society.

Strange, here in the UK we have a Nationalised health system that provides "free at the point of delivery" care to the whole population, we have free education for everyone, we have free libraries, unarmed police, ad-free TV and radio stations operated by the BBC, a government directly elected by the people and however hard I look I can't seem to spot a dictator anywhere !
im sorry im socialist which means i care more about human life than the market. im so sorry im ethical and sensible
Omg wtf, i cant believe you American buying that shit… This fucking propaganda Ur state is ruled by propaganda and steroetypes. Capilism is a fucking scam for the majority of the people. U have realy a education Problem America. But it is just what the capitalist and politian want 😉. Your fear against communisim is based on propaganda, and that is just the truth u cant denie that
This is one of the stupidest videos I've ever seen before. It can't be real. This has to be a satire. A 2.5 minute video that basically said nothing. It didn't even DEFINE socialism. It just started talking about capitalism.
"Always leads to dictatorship". Yeah, okay, tell me then, does Canada have a dictatorship? What about the UK? Australia? Germany? New Zealand? Because all of those countries have universal healthcare.
This video did nothing but use scare tactics. Can't even give a f* definition!
I support socialism. But guess what? I also support limited, decentralized government. Right now our government is authoritarian and never listens to the people. You know why? Capitalism. The rich elites like Bezos get to buy and control our government to make laws in their favor to help increase their profits. Again that's called CAPITALISM! Capitalism at its extreme is anti freedom. I support libertarian socialism. I am against anyone having such power and taking away other's liberties. I support democracy in the workplace, workers controlling a business to protect the workers and treat them like human beings.
Bullshit.
0:33, well, that´s because according to the UN, everyone, who earns more than1.90 $ per day, isn´t poor. So you can have no home, no healthcare and 3 children, as long as you earn 1.91 $, you aren´t poor. And this number hasn´t been changed for years. So yeah, less poverty according to statistics from the UN, about the work of the UN. Bullshit.
1:06, well what else If I may ask?
1:08 these aren´t socialists, these guys are social democrats. But you americans don´t even know the difference between those two ideologies letalone the differences between the dozend different branches of socialism. You think Socialism = Stalin or Socialism = Mao. Bullshit
1:22 Not private Property at all. Only the private possession of the means of productions, which means stuff like factories or IT-companies or farms or stuff like that. Only the stuff, you can use to opress and exploit the workers. Bullshit
1:28 Decision-Making? Bullshit. Socialism can be as democratic as a capitalist democracy. Why shouldn´t you be able to vote for a parliament or a workers council or a union council in socialism?
1:29 yeah, because religion is (you guessed it) bullshit
1:37 depends on what type of socialism, again, solutions with councils, Unions or a normal parliament with many parties or no parties at all are all perfectly fine within socialism. And don´t you americans dare complaining about the dictatorship of parties. America has only TWO of them. Like wtf, have you never noticed, that two is almost as dictatoric as one?Bullshit
1:44 Social democracy. And thats a big Lie. India is as poor as ever, the biggest middle class only by numbers, not by percentages of the countries population. And they still have some social democratic features. And i the "free" world, so you don´t even compare with socialist countries, because tey aren´t free in your eyes.Bullshit
2:16 That one made me laugh. As if socialists would think they are smarter than everyone else. No, free healthcare, because it´s more just, because your health isn´t dependent on greedy capitalists who don´t wanna help you, anymore, because it just works Better (look at europe), because private healthcare means good healthcare only for the rich. there is no benefit to private healthcare (except for then 1% capitalists).Bullshit
2:23 yeah, the truth as you told it right here… conservatives must fuck off and stop thinking, that it´s still 1775.
2:31 diversity and freedom of choice wouldn´t be lost in a democratic socialist state
2:40 proof?(and don´t scream STALIN, or IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THIS WAY, that is no proof. The future isn´t the past(obviously).
So, every single argument debunked. horrible Video. Bet none of these guys has ever even read the manifesto.
and qucik Question, do you americans really read the pig farm by george orwell in school?
Fuck you. Communism can still work dumb asses
I’m a liberal, but I think socialism is really stupid.
Canada, europe countries and most of scandinavian countries have some socialist aspect. Im from europe, we have better healthcare, education systems and it is affordable for everyone.
It's not that the littel people are incapable of making the right choice, the big companies are ripping them off, there are certain industries that simply should not be run for profit, you can give people choice without sacrificimg quality, look at Europe, there are several systems that give you more choices than the US system currently does
What people want is Scandinavian socialism/social democracy which works, stop your propaganda lies
This is absolute garbage. DOWN WITH CAPITALISM
One day you wake up and switch on the TV and hear the news that socialism is the new form of government in the county. You are not too worried about it because they won't take money from you because you are in the middle class living from paycheck to paycheck. But a few years later you switched on the TV and hear the news that the government has spent all of the rich peoples money and now you will have to do your part and pay into the system. A few months after that the bank repossesses your car because the government took half of your paycheck and you could no longer make your car payment. Then you get fired from your job because without your car you couldn't get to work. Then the unthinkable happens, the bank forecloses on your house because you could no longer make your mortgage payment and now you and your family are homeless in what once was one of the richest countries in the southern hemisphere, Venezuela.
Welcome to Sweden, Finland or Norway to get acquainted with socialism.
It's important to not mistake connotations for denotations. If I call myself a pacifist before shooting up a public place, that doesn't change pacifism's . Same can be said for anything that has a formal definition(aka: denotation), but it would very likely be something that people associate with whatever word I use to describe myself or my motivations for wrong doing. Epistemic improvement is intimidating when a worldview's at stake. gl, hf, kids.

It's NOT about capitalism or socialism…..it's about corruption….and America is no exception.
