This is the first "Best Apologetics Books" list I've seen that didn't include "Tactics" by Greg Koukl😲
1. Mere Christianity
2. I don't have enough faith to be an atheist
3. Lee Strobel – the case for (all cases)
4. Reasonable faith – WLC
5. J. P. Moreland – scaling the secular city
6. Thinking about God – Greg Ganssle
you have a great on camera presence, very inviting and comforting.
Hey thanks for sharing. While not a book, I found Mark Fairley's of The Fuel Project series "Know Your Enemy" really helpful and intriguing! I also really like listening to men like Ravi Zacharias who answers the PERSON not just the QUESTION.
Another vote for Tactics!
Don't forget "Love Your God with All Your Mind" by J.P. Moreland and "Relativism: Feet Firmly Planted in Mid-Air" by Francis Beckwith and Greg Koukl. Outstanding.
"I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Athiest" is fantastic! Loved it.
God bless all apologist who defend the Bible and present the Gospel.
The fundamental Christian apologist to beat – Dr James R. White. He has more formal debates under his belt than any Christian apologist – He has respectfully refuted major Islamic apologists, made laughing stocks of atheists, Leftist "Christians" and modern spiritualists, he's refuted all the contemporary authors mentioned on critical points of doctrine and brought Biblical sanity to bear in refuting "homosexual Christians" like Matthew Vines. His books The Potter's Freedom (refuting Norman Geisler), The Forgotten Trinity, What Every Christian Needs to Know About The Quran, The Same Sex Controversy, The Roman Catholic Controversy, as with most all his work proceeds the contemporaries, and inform as well as educates on a tight exegetical basis. A knowledgeable and formidable apologist and a Biblical Christian.
As for more Biblical apologetics proving the Bible in archeology, sciences – NEW sciences, human history and with areas of the Bible rooted in a Jewish foundation, Chuck Missler is the man. He has spoken commentaries on the Bible from Genesis to Revelation that presents insights that stagger the mind – he sternly holds to, and I agree, that the Bible can be proven beyond a doubt. Unlike many Christian evangelicals and apologists he humbly presents his views and encourages the listener/reader to "search the scriptures daily to verify truth".
Loved all of those! I would also recommend that people read through a lot of the apologetics books by Kenneth Samples and Paul Copan. Both of those gentelmen have done books that answer oft asked questions of the Christian. WIthout A Doubt and When God Goes To Starbucks comes to mind.
I recommend God does exist by mike Robinson ,and Give me an answer by Cliff.
Lets not forget "Tactics" by Greg Koukl
