What It Means to “Love” God (With All Your Heart, Soul and Strength)
Let’s talk about love, Old Testament style! In this video, we’ll explore the various ways the Hebrew authors used the word “love,” and how they depicted God as the ultimate source and goal of all human love.

There is an old lullaby that I heard these lyrics from: "Oh, I love you, but God loves you best" – I am sure there is a corresponding bible verse.
But how powerful. I love my kids so much it overwhelms me sometimes. God loves my kids infinitely more than me? Yeah, wrap your head around that one.
I love your work. Thank you.
Amen. Thank you for love explanation.

I wonder if the word ahavah is related to Greek agape or Latin amare?

This is also said in nee testament
We aren't under the Law. We can't love God with all our heart, soul, and strength. We love because God first loved us.
Heart soul mind Matt 22. Not strength.
We are told to love God with all our heart, mind and soul and that we be reconciled unto him… If we do what God hates how yet can we say we love him with all our heart, mind and soul as we were commanded to do.
Jesus and the disciples taught the law of Moses and Jesus even said your thoughts should be bridled and controlled.
If someone pays your fine and the judge frees you it is not so you can continue the crimes that brought upon you the fine. If you are reconciled to the father of whom you were seperated from because of your sinful actions it hardly makes logical sense that you are reconciled to him to continue in those same sinful actions.
We are meant to be dead to sin and not living in it – not following two masters but crucifying the fleshly desires and seeking the spiritual
The second coming of Yeshua (The Messiah, Christ, Jesus) is coming near, Please all who say they are of Christ read these verses below and seek the truth; the truth that all transgression of the law is sin and none of the laws of Moses were done away with, the truth that Yeshua (Jesus) himself states that he does not abolish any of the laws of his father (he himself is the word, the law and so to say you abide in him yet not all the law makes ye a liar). Read the verses below that speak of God unchanging and of how we are meant to walk as Christ walks and hence following the commandments of God given to Moses including the vast expanse of Leviticus (of course Yeshua caused for such as blood sacrifices to be finished as he became the atoning sacrifice).
If you seek to truly love and serve God, Jesus and the holy spirit in full truth I implore you also seek teachings such as those about Sabbath's from 119 ministries, Jim Staley, Rico Cortes, bill Cloud, brad Scott and others… Another vital and important teaching would also be "Truth or Tradition" by Jim Staley.
Any who believe that the words of Paul and others including Yeshua (Jesus) himself change or abolish laws…. I can tell you there are deep contextual understandings required and that many of the verses you have heard have been plucked out leaving verses that add the necessary context to be sitting in the book – but alongside this there is a deep culture and context in the era the scriptures were written that if you lack the understanding of will cause you to misunderstand the true meaning of the scriptures today with Paul's writing's requiring much of that understanding although if you remember it was false accusations that he was teaching against the laws of Moses and see that it should give you an idea as to how Paul has been misinterpreted by the current churches with many going against the Bible's very verses stating clearly such were false accusations.
Remember also that Yeshua (Jesus) actually spoke that even thoughts are counted as to iniquity (sin) and such makes sense if we are to love God with all our heart, mind and soul… We are implored to hold our very thoughts unto his ways and his standards also.
May God guide and bless those with open and truth seeking hearts that desire to love him truly to allow them to read these words here and these scriptures and to walk in full repentance as God truly desires 🙏🏽
2 Timothy (2 Ti) 2:19 CJB
Nevertheless, God’s firm foundation stands, stamped with these words: “The Lord knows his own,” and, “Let everyone who claims he belongs to the Lord stand apart from wrongdoing.”
Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 5:17-22
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.' But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.
Mark (Mrk) 9:43, 45, 47 CJB
If your hand makes you sin, cut it off! Better that you should be maimed but obtain eternal life, rather than keep both hands and go to Gei-Hinnom, to unquenchable fire! And if your foot makes you sin, cut it off! Better that you should be lame but obtain eternal life, rather than keep both feet and be thrown into Gei-Hinnom! And if your eye makes you sin, pluck it out! Better that you should be one-eyed but enter the Kingdom of God, rather than keep both eyes and be thrown into Gei-Hinnom,
1 John 2:3-6
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
1 John 5:2-3
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
John 14:15
"If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Malachi 3:6
"For I am the LORD, I do not change;
Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob
Romans 3:31
Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law
Romans 6:1-2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
James 2:24
You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
Matthew 5:48
Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
Mark 7:8-9
For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do." He said to them, "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition
Luke 17:3 ESV
Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him
Ezekiel 18:30-32 ESV
“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord God. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.”
Messianic Jews (Heb) 6:1-8 CJB
Therefore, leaving behind the initial lessons about the Messiah, let us go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of turning from works that lead to death, trusting God, and instruction about washings, s’mikhah, the resurrection of the dead and eternal punishment. And, God willing, this is what we will do. For when people have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become sharers in the Ruach HaKodesh, and tasted the goodness of God’s Word and the powers of the ‘olam haba — and then have fallen away — it is impossible to renew them so that they turn from their sin, as long as for themselves they keep executing the Son of God on the stake all over again and keep holding him up to public contempt. For the land that soaks up frequent rains and then brings forth a crop useful to its owners receives a blessing from God; but if it keeps producing thorns and thistles, it fails the test and is close to being cursed; in the end, it will be burned.
Acts 3:19 ESV
Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out
Matthew 4:17 ESV
From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
2 Peter 3:9 ESV
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
Matthew 3:8 ESV
Bear fruit in keeping with repentance
Revelation 2:5 ESV
Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
Ezekiel 18:21-23 ESV
“But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?
Colossians 3:5-6
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.
6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.
1 Corinthians 10:13
13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Now I actually grasp how I should love others as my self
we think we know how to love but we don't teach oh Lord how to love better and truly!

Could the name of Jesus—“God with us”—represent God’s disposition in its entirety? Could it fully articulate God? If man says that God can only be called Jesus and may not have any other name because God cannot change His disposition, these words are blasphemy indeed! Do you believe that the name Jesus, God with us, alone can represent God in His entirety? God may be called by many names, but among these many names, there is not one that is able to encapsulate all of God, not one that can fully represent God. And so, God has many names, but these many names cannot fully articulate God’s disposition, for God’s disposition is so rich that it simply exceeds man’s capacity to know Him. There is no way for man, using the language of mankind, to encapsulate God fully. Mankind has but a limited vocabulary with which to encapsulate all that they know of God’s disposition: great, honored, wondrous, unfathomable, supreme, holy, righteous, wise, and so on. So many words! This limited vocabulary is incapable of describing the little that man has witnessed of God’s disposition. Over time, many others added words that they thought better able to describe the fervor in their hearts: God is so great! God is so holy! God is so lovely! Today, human sayings such as these have reached their peak, yet man is still incapable of clearly expressing himself. And so, for man, God has many names, yet He has no one name, and this is because God’s being is so bountiful, and the language of man so impoverished. One particular word or name does not have the capacity to represent God in His entirety, so do you think His name can be fixed? God is so great and so holy, yet you will not permit Him to change His name in each new age? Therefore, in every age in which God personally does His own work, He uses a name that befits the age in order to encapsulate the work that He intends to do. He uses this particular name, one that possesses temporal significance, to represent His disposition in that age. This is God using the language of mankind to express His own disposition. Even so, many people who have had spiritual experiences and have personally seen God nevertheless feel that this one particular name is incapable of representing God in His entirety—alas, this cannot be helped—so man no longer addresses God by any name, but simply calls Him “God.” It is as though the heart of man is full of love and yet also beset with contradictions, for man does not know how to explain God. What God is is so bountiful that there is simply no way to describe it. There is no single name that can summarize God’s disposition, and there is no single name that can describe all that God has and is. If someone asks Me, “Exactly what name do You use?” I will tell them, “God is God!” Is that not the best name for God? Is it not the best encapsulation of God’s disposition? This being so, why do you spend so much effort seeking after the name of God? Why should you cudgel your brains, going without food and sleep, all for the sake of a name? The day will arrive when God is not called Jehovah, Jesus, or Messiah—He will simply be the Creator. At that time, all the names that He has taken on earth shall come to an end, for His work on earth will have come to an end, after which His names shall be no more. When all things come under the dominion of the Creator, what need has He of a highly appropriate yet incomplete name? Are you still seeking after God’s name now? Do you still dare to say that God is only called Jehovah? Do you still dare to say that God can only be called Jesus? Are you able to bear the sin of blasphemy against God? You should know that God originally had no name. He only took on one, or two, or many names because He had work to do and had to manage mankind. Whatever name He is called by—did He not freely choose it Himself? Would He need you—one of His creations—to decide it? The name by which God is called is a name that accords with what man is capable of apprehending, with the language of mankind, but this name is not something that man can encompass. You can only say that there is a God in heaven, that He is called God, that He is God Himself with great power, who is so wise, so exalted, so wondrous, so mysterious, and so almighty, and then you can say no more; this little bit is all you can know. This being so, can the mere name of Jesus represent God Himself? When the last days come, even though it is still God who does His work, His name has to change, for it is a different age.

Love is all Action
Once the act of love is done it will always be felt.
The feeling of love is genuine once the actions of love is done genuinely generously compassionately gracious kindly understandingly, unconditionally, reciprocally, mutually well.
Amen
So what is the difference between ‘Ahavah’ and ‘Agape’. It’s confused me in the part “Ahavah other as yourself”. If love means “seek the well-being of others than yourself” so what kind of love in that verse? Please reply
Good day to you all,
Pls help me to understand something,
Why God allow to kill childrens as well ?
Deuteronomy 3 :6
“We completely destroyed them, as we had done with Sihon king of Heshbon, destroying every city–men, women and children. “
I know God is love but also just, than what is the mistake of small children?
Pls help me to understand,
Thank you
(Matthew 25:35-40)
"…for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’"

Thanks you !!!
God bless you all ❤
I've reached the point that I really don't believe God exists. However, if He does and since He refuses to show any evidence whatsoever in my life, I have nothing but absolute hatred and disgust for Him, due to the viciously cruel and atrociously unforgivable sin He committed against me by cursing me with existence. I've never really believed the old saying, "ignorance is bliss", but I truly wish I could make myself forget and just blindly love Him. In this particular instance, I really do believe it would make me a lot happier, and of course, if God is real, a lot better off. Unfortunately, I don't know how to make myself forget every single shred of evidence from my entire existence and just trust God's empty (at least for the duration of my physical life) words. All that said, the fear of potential Hell, as intended, is still a strong motivator. I've repeatedly read in the Bible that God wants obedience over offerings and that feelings do not trump our choices. So, I've been wondering, if feelings aren't enough to base faith on or be sufficient without obedience and works, shouldn't that mean feelings aren't enough to be condemned as long as one professes Jesus as Lord and Savior, lives obediently (as much as is humanly possible), and does the works commanded in the Bible?
This gets into the argument people, and I myself, have used; "If I'm wrong, I have nothing to lose but if you're wrong, you have everything to lose". I've come to realize that argument is, at best, agnostic, because it is based on no evidence, rather "better safe than sorry". I'm the same, I can't say there is no God, and in fact, I lean towards there being a God, just not omnibenevolent. Just as there is no romanticized feeling of love in arranged marriages in the Bible, but the people chose to love each other by fulfilling their obligatory roles/duties to one another; AND, marriage is used as an example of the relationship of Jesus (the Bridegroom) and the Church (the Bride), with the Bride being submissive to the Groom as the head of the family – will God uphold His promise of eternal salvation even to those He refuses to acknowledge in this temporal life, as long as they fulfil their obligatory roles/duties?
That 'Queen Esther' part finished me. 😂
Love the video, as always. 🎉
God bless you all ✝️Thank You Very Much ✝️
Amen
