It's fair to educate yourself on gay rights history if asked because you would expect that same fairness when educating your friend on how and why you believe as a Christian.
It's always the same with leftists. "Tolerance for me, but not for thee" and "You're obligated to educate yourself about (and empathize with) my views and experience, but I have no obligation to educate myself about (or empathize with) yours." It's nothing but double standards with most of them. Don't play their game. Don't agree to their terms. The minute you do, you've lost.
Wow! Great teaching and explanation. Yes, let’s have a discussion, using the Word of God to assist in clarifying for us both. John 7:7 the Lord Jesus explains why people “hate” Him so. Not surprised by His answer. Be watchful of His Triumphant return. Blessings
Spot on. This is so succinct as to how the conversation so often goes. Thanks for helping me put it together in my head.
I find your description of "understand me" very intriguing. I had an angry atheist friend who kept saying something akin to "you still don't understand me" or "you never listen" even though we've known each other for 8 years.
Perhaps he may have been brainwashed in the exact manner you suggested.
Pray for my friend.
“I have educated myself and I still disagree”
4:20 indoctrination communist style! straight from the communist manifesto
Just like how leftist racists (eg. Sharpton, Obama, Eric Holder, Maxine Watters, et al.) continually say that we must have a "conversation" about race.
That is the same argument in my family only it is atheism vs me. I am the only one saved, no one cares what I think and I am uninvited until I understand that THEY don't want to hear anything about Christ, God, my life. The conversation is one way, which they admit, so at least I can give credit to them for that but it cost me my relationships across the board with my immediate family. Folks, there is a line in the sand. Draw it and don't step over it. Period.
Absolutely. The better educated you are about an issue, the more effective you will be in engaging others. We should know homosexual issues better than the pro homosexuals. Then you can enlighten them about the serious problems with it. Same goes for all issues you engage with. The truth is on our side.
Some people need to have their mouths shut when they persist in lying.
Amazing
Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,”1 Peter 2:11
