” The Right Minimum Wage: $0.00.”.

That was the heading of an editorial in among America’s a lot of distinguished newspapers. Can you think which one? The Wall Street Journal, perhaps? Right city; wrong paper. I can best discuss this by asking a simple question: What is a wage? A wage is the rate of labor. Now, what occurs if the price of labor increases, not since employees have become more productive, not due to the fact that a business must pay greater salaries to hang on to valuable employees, however only since the government requires it?

When the minimum wage increases, employers will change. They’ll fire current employees or cut back on their hours. Let’s also consider another bad effect Businesses will hire fewer workers, especially those with little or no task experience.
