Which Kind of Evangelist Are You?
Before someone comes to Christ, they go through a season of consideration, which requires that others plant seeds through pre-evangelism. Using John 4, Greg Koukl highlights how some Christians are called to sow while others are called to reap. Both gardeners and harvesters are crucial. He encourages believers to focus on starting conversations, creating doubt about false beliefs, and planting truth, trusting that God will bring the harvest in his timing.

We need to do what Jesus asked us to do, we are not gardener we are disciple maker…..
In my view THE GIFT of evangelist is that in accordance with the saying of Jesus pbuh, you will reap the crop which you didn't sow, means that when Jesus pbuh comes back, He will tell them to convert to Islam bcoz this is the last true revelation and Mohammed is the Last and Final Messenger of God, so all Christians will convert to Islam.
Now if you see, the Muslims are suffering because of they being believers in Islam and they are being tortured and slaughtered because of this. So the crop of Islam is sown 1400years before, Muslims are watering this crop with their blood since then till now. The crop is now almost ripened and when Christians will accept Islam, they will reap this crop which is sown by Muslims.
This is to my understanding of this GIFT matter. The rest, Allah knows better. Chao❤
Amen. There's no shame in being a gardener. We are all working towards the harvest. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and pull weeds 🙂
🙏🙏
Amen! Thank you
So. God wants to save us. We’re imperfect. But he relies on us imperfect humans to lead other imperfect humans to bring them to Christ etc. ok I get the grace arguement , god atones for our sins etc but this evangelist principe, it’s like people trying to convince the world to follow a particular political ideology or party. Why can’t god if he she they it exist just make it a tad more obvious rather than rely on a bunch of humans to ‘spread his word’ , that puts all our fates in the hands of other humans , if you believe this model which I think is self evidently nonsensical
Thank you Sir
It's so empowering ❤
We thank God for you and may His hand always be upon you ✝️
Go out there and be a witness!
You know, I think an actual, literal gardner would have a lot to say about this video,
but for now I'll just say it's creepy.
this didn't answered the question i had at all, i want to know if there are two types of evaghelists and if yes, what is their name
Greetings!! I was left confused by your video today. I have been witnessing for several years, and never ever did I think of myself as the person who reaps the harvest. I can ONLY Be a gardener.
It is God who ultimately brings about salvation. As Paul writes:
1 Corinthians 3:6-King James Version
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
This emphasizes that while we may play a role in sharing the gospel and nurturing faith, it is God who causes spiritual growth and brings people to salvation.
Jesus also said:
John 6:44-King James Version
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
This underscores the truth that it is God who initiates and completes the work of salvation in a person's heart. Our role is to share the message and love of Christ, but it is God who works in people's hearts to bring them to faith.
Furthermore:
Ephesians 2:8-9-King James Version
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Salvation is entirely a work of God's grace, and our faith is a response to His initiative.
In summary, while we are called to share the gospel and love others, it is ultimately God who draws people to Himself and brings about their salvation. This perspective keeps us humble and reliant on God's power and grace in the process of evangelism.
I hope this helps you see the truth of evangelism, Its ONLY God that Reaps the Harvest.
MANY ON MISSION
Sharing The Good News Of God's Love Through Christ
BE READY!! 1 Peter 3:15 KJV
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Amazing perfectly said. 1 Corinthians 3:6 says
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.
Amazing point. I want also to be the gardener. I'm think too much of my expectation and forget that only Christ can save and make them fruitfull.
Amen.
Remember a person's greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated!
im a catholic, Im Looking towards becoming a evangelist.
Neither, they are all false and "THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL"
I love this because I don't like trying to persuade someone to repent & give their life to Jesus …I would rather have a coffee ☕️ & some eats ..friendship…kindness…what they like doing, their interests. 😂😅
So wonderful
Some sow and some reap.. awesome
Beautiful you are so real and true may God continue to bless you thanks for the explanation I believe I am the one to sew
Planting seeds with scripture and sharing your faith. It has more impact than most people realize. I remember those who witnessed to me several years ago. One day during a revival service I decided that it was time to accept Christ as my savior. Thank you for sharing this video.
Don’t be discouraged when your labor gets hard and you don’t see the harvest. Don’t ever forget, the more gardeners we have, the bigger the harvest is going to be. Then both ‘he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together’ in the bountiful result.

Excellent points. How much the fields are waiting for laborers. May God stir up the hearts of His people. Job 28:28 🙏🏼🎶
1 Corinthians 3:6-9 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
I love your example and video❤️❤️
I’m a gardener for sure! Love this! Blessings. Watching on 9/28/2023💜
I apologize, Greg, for having preconceived notions about you. One of those notions is, I think, directly related to what Bob and Gretchen have said about you. One of those things, specifically, is that, from my recollection, Gretchen told a group of us, meeting with her, that you have tried to put forward an argument (for Calvinism) where you actually tried to use one of Bob's arguments for your point of view, regarding Calvinism. I have had discourse with people whom, I think, would say that they are Calvinists, and they have seemed to have great minds and/or erudite minds, from my point of view — but I have also spoken with "non-Calvinists" who have told me that Calvinists believe that, basically, we are all robots and have no free will; that everything has been already dictated by God and/or that God has predetermined/preordained who's going to be in the Book Of Life and who's not. From what I understand, Bob and Gretchen were two of your mentors — and, if my recollection is right, they have both discounted your point(s) of view, at least regarding Calvinism.
Greg, I just saw this in an email today from STR and went to it right away. Very profound. I am going to have to meditate on this and get the word out. One can see the number of options this opens up for those of us who might be gardeners. I am thinking a series of "gardener tracts" or "stone in the shoe tracts" could be developed to precede the work of the harvesters.
Thank you.
I'm 23 years in Christ
The pre-evangelism for me was poorly done and proved extremely moot.
So now as one who evangelizes regularly (and hopes to do more 😊) I would definitely say this is a KEY principle Greg is sharing. Not the only one.
All that said, every person is different and me being unique from all others, I greatly appreciate this truth being shared and encourage all evangelizing (obedient) Christian's to take heed of this.
Thank you again STR and blessings in Christ
This blessed me!! This helped to truly find my place in evangelism. I was confused about my calling… but now I see what you mean.
Sometimes the Farmer. Sometimes the Fisherman. Sometimes the Waterboy.
What about the those who water ?
I try to explain this to the ones debate with daily. That even if they don’t receive the gospel that someone reading will. They will claim Jesus to be a shepherd who leads the blind not knowing that he was the GOOD shepherd. And that they can be reborn🙏🏾
Mankind has concocted thousands of god claims throughout recorded history, none of which have ever been proven by any reasonable standard of evidence, including yours. That goes for all supernatural claims. And faith is just the excuse of people give when they don't have good reason for their beliefs.
This is so smart
The gift of evangelist has for a long time been misinterpreted for the word says that He "Jesus" himself constituted the evangelist in order to train the holy for the work of Kingdom. Therefore we can not say the the evangelist have a special power to convert people for that is only done by the Holy Spirit and all who have accepted Jesus have that Spirit , only thing is that they need to be empowered, that is why Jesus advised the disciples to stay in one place in order to receive power that is authority.
Which Kind of Evangelist Are You? Hopefully not the one that worships Donald Trump over Jesus. Seems so many evangelists are these days. its so sad and a stain on Christianity.
