You would laugh if someone suggested to you that Americans should turn down representative government and return to the guideline of kings.
” This is America,” you would say. “In our revolution, we got rid of monarchy.”
And, obviously, you ‘d be right– however just to a point. Monarchy is picking up– though not in the method you believe.
Let me describe.
A king is one person. Get rid of him and you might get your liberty back.
But what do you do when the nation has become managed by countless little king– practically supreme in their specialized fiefdoms– who have large power over your life, much as a king might?
Good concern, since that’s what we’re up versus.
And, make no error, they are really powerful. Their choices impact us every day.
Created almost any three or 4 random letters and possibilities are you’ve discovered a federal government agency. These agencies and individuals in them form our lives– often for the even worse.
Lots of farmers in California lost their incomes since the Fish and Wildlife Service decided that the delta smelt
( a small fish) was more important than the farmers’ supply of water. That decision may have been right, or it may have been incorrect. My point is simply that the choice ought to have been made by our lawmakers– who are liable to us at the next election.
Those farmers are amongst the countless hard-working individuals straight harmed by the administrative state.
And much more millions have been indirectly injured–.
such as all those prevented from even beginning an organization by miles of bureaucratic bureaucracy.
This is not an argument versus government guideline per se, however versus guideline enforced by bureaucrats rather than by our elected lawmakers whom we can hold accountable at the next election.
Here’s the larger risk: As administration grows, specific liberty decreases.
