not to defend xenophobia, but flowers tend not to go to war with each other over, well, anything. humans have started wars over just about everything. values, control, culture, resources, i could imagine there was a war over penis size, but i can't confirm that. either way, flowers are good for gardens, while people are good for self destruction and uncertainty. humans are fundamentally anti nature. they have never once been harmonious in the entirety of recorded history. and people just ignore this fact, and still try to "make the world a good place", as if THEY, mere mortals are qualified to get the job done.

But what does the church lack in diversity?
We are all United under the banner of Christ but that does not make each a clone of the other.
Every society must have an underlying unifier or you will have nothing but sects of people fighting and bickering with each other. Or, you will see people group together with like minded individuals. If it’s not an ideology, it will be race that unifies people, like what you see in major cities where Mexican, Asian, Indian, or African people will group together.
In the past, for America, it was Christianity. And although not everyone was Christian, the majority considered themselves Christians and that was enough of a unifier for our society.
This is why people throughout history had tribes. To belong to the “tribe” was the unifier.
“Diversity is our strength,” is absolute modern age nonsense that, if we followed, eventually one sect of people would outnumber the others, and their ideology would become the unifier.
That was confusing….our world is diverse and tribal, always has been, always will be.

Do the monks allow anything and everything in all parts of a Buddhist Temple? Even into the deepest holiest places?
When we ask about DEI, it's going to come back to how we determine what is right and what is wrong.

Interesting critique. I submit that the Church is in fact the MOST diverse group of people in the history of the world. It spans centuries, continents, countries, and cultures. And those who are in Christ are all one in Christ. The Gospel doesn’t exclude any person, rather it excludes all other paths to salvation except through Christ.
The difference is truth. With no belief in truth, in boundaries, evil has free reign.
