Culture of Confusion: Critical Theory
Critical Theory (CT) has been a hot button issue recently. It was brought to the national stage when President Trump mentioned in it the first presidential debate. What is CT and where has it come from? Why is it important to understand CT and the ideas in represents? In the second instalment of our Culture of Confusion live video series, Jon Noyes and Dr. Tim Stratton (Free Thinking Ministries) will be exploring these questions and more. You don’t want to miss this discussion.

Don't forget that the "oppressed," no matter what they do, can never become the "oppressor."
This Chanel says to bring it closer to god, if god is right, as god surely will support her, but then why did god give her a gift with so few spectators? Or is otherwise not a gift? , or because….
Frankly I was a disappointed in this conversation. I came to this video because I'm trying to get my head wrapped around Critical Theory, and I picked STR content because I've read Greg Koukl Tactics book, and have great respect for how he's moved apologetics forward.
If people are being held hostage by their own incorrect thinking, then we should with love and humility help them to identify and correct. I got way too much of an "us vs them" vibe in this video. If I'm in a conversation with a proponent of CT, is it really beneficial for me to think of them as a "woke zombie"? Or as someone who's fallen into a mental trap, like so many of us have at one point or another, and that they need help identifying and getting out of?
And from my understanding of CT so far, it doesn't seem like something that any reasonable person would embrace. That leads me to concluded that most of my understanding of CT is primarily based on a straw man augment or oversimplification. I'm trying to understand how pervasive this really is, and what I got instead was a near dismissal of systematic issues regarding race and justice.
If CT is true, then Jesus, as a male, is an oppressor. Oppression is a sin. Therefore, Jesus did not live a sinless life and his death cannot save anyone. Christianity and CT don't mix! Jettison CT.
