    I take it that the meaning that you put on the people walking out of the church was that they were offended members/attenders of the church. How did you come to that conclusion? : )
    Have you considered that they might have been anti-Christian activists who were there specifically to do some drama to set things up for their planned smear campaign? Great talk, by the way! Janet K.

  6. I'm a baptist pastor from Sydney, Australia. I have been leading a Home Group through Greg Koukl's 10 week training Course in "Tactics: A Game Plan for Sharing Your Christian Convictions". I'm a friend of Stand to Reason.
    I have had a number of comments in this thread deleted, that were non-offensive and on-topic. I'm just wondering, is there a "one comment only" rule, or some other rule I am violating to get my comments deleted?

  8. I really appreciates the way Martyn Iles defuses the "hate speech" bomb that gets lobbed into his lap, and at all those who share the gospel message. Martyn's response shows that he takes hate seriously because Jesus takes hate seriously (hate is likened to murder by Jesus), yet calling certain behaviours (for example homosexual behaviours) sinful is NOT hate; warning people against hell is NOT the same as wishing people go to hell, and is NOT hate; calling people to repent is NOT hate.
    I like the way he won't be intimidated into silence and won't be made to feel ashamed for believing and communicating the Good news of salvation through Jesus, and he won't be made to feel ashamed of supporting people who are being persecuted for sharing the Good News of Jesus, including Israel Folau.
    I thought his answer to the question about why wasn't the money spent on the Folau "Let him play" campaign used to alleviate poverty was excellent, affirming that most Charities in Australia have a Christian origin and do great work but what ACL does is different. ACL supports Christians who need legal support and advocacy as well as champion Freedom of Speech within Australia (my words, not Martyn's).
