This dude is just wrong. DACA people have to go through background checks, period. There is no random pick and choose with it. Background check is mandatory especially if you want to get a work permit, irrespective of DACA or not.
I have supported the Heritage Foundation for many years on many other issues. However, your legal advisor is dead wrong on DACA when he said that there is no background vetting. [3:01] DACA applicants are denied even if they have 1 DUI. If you are going to oppose a program, at least get your basic facts right. Mr. von Spakovsky needs to do some fact check before he criticizes the DACA program. Every DACA applicant is required to do biometrics to assure that they have no criminal records. Mr. von Spakovsky, lying will not get you any support. It is sad to see that the Heritage Foundation has lowered the tactics to fabricating lies.
