You're right, something coming from nothing is a hard concept to grasp dare I say near impossible to. But why did the universe have to come from what you call nothing? Is it possible that it came from another set of conditions or another universe? And that set of conditions came from another set of conditions, and Another, and another, Regressing infinitely back? Also, wouldn't be fair to say that something that always was is also just as unlikely? Do you have any other examples of something that was eternal? Do you have any proof that there is something that is eternal to begin with other than supposition that is? Because you have yet to prove a god's existence ir provide any examples of eternal objects. You say that God exists because something could not come from nothing and then when this question is posed to god you say God existed eternally. I say how do you know that, and you say you know he exists because something can't come from nothing… do you see the circular logic here?
Ridicule is a defensive, sometimes emotional, reaction to having one's views challenged, especially when there is no rational basis for the foundation of one's assertions – So ridicule is never appropriate in any meaningful discussion. There-for I believe a true atheist never really engages in meaningful discussion.
What is appropriate is using absurdity to prove absurdity. Atheism is the most absurd way of thinking of all humanity, it is man's depravity on parade. Atheism is dead.
Also, what proverbial "magician" pulled god out of his hat? If something from nothing is so utterly laughable, where did god comr from?
Why exactly does it have to be intelligent?
something or nothing? 🙂 i don't know. Hard to say which one is more ridicules with our very limited perception. Or if we go to what God and all His abilities&powers. If nothing is impossible to Him. Then its possible that God can be everything and nothing at the same time where there is no time only infinity. He can make something out of nothing. Do we really know God or just think believe we do? Is God everywhere or is it possible that there is a place where there is no God? Can anything exist without God ? Is God perfect? And what is the definition of perfection? Just few of many interesting question on this topic 🙂 God bless you.
