Talking With Your Kids About Critical Theory
As parents, we need to be help our kids think critically about false ideas. Rather than isolate our kids, we need to inoculate them from false ideas so they are able to defend against them.
Critical theory (CT) is one of those false ideas. In fact, it is a dominant worldview that undergirds much of what’s going on in the culture today. Like all worldviews, it influences what we believe and how we behave. Unfortunately, many people–especially young people–are being taken captive by this dangerous philosophy.
In this discussion, Neil Shenvi will help us understand the central claims of CT and show us how it contradicts the Christianity worldview. Our goal is to give you practical strategies for discussing this important issue with your kids.

As an atheist, I support Christians pushing back HARD against critical race theory.
I’ve been trying to wrap my head around this concept for a few months now and I think I’m finally getting there. I’m going to listen to this again and take notes so I can talk with my 15 year old. I especially liked the part at the end where Shenvi put Christian doctrine next to crt to show the contrast! God bless!!
Tim, a suggestion: cut back on the history of academic eggheadery, and start with concrete steps for parents to take when inoculating their kids.
We don't need a video explaining what Critical Theory is. There are a million of those. TELL US EXACTLY HOW TO DESTROY IT.
Psalm 14:1 NKJV — To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.
Critical Theory is nothing but 'racist assumed' circular reasoning. When you point this out they dismiss it as 'white supremacy'. The 'poison' is intellectually fatal. They literally commit intellectual suicide and rule by emotions. This is Romans 1- "God gave them over" these people that ingest CT are quite literally insane. They then violently demand that their insanity be bullied and forced on everyone.
This channel has such misleading, and incorrect information. Absolute bias and ignorance.
of all the people you could talk to about the dangers of Critical Theory, you bring on one that supported it's adoption into the SBC. There are better, wiser, braver men who can speak on this
Thank you for this super helpful discussion on such a topic. It is probably the most pernicious thing we have to face in society these days and we must know more so we can stand up and share the truth.
There are many others sounding the alarm and risking their livelihoods to do so. Bret Weinstein, Helen Pluckrose, Peter Boghossian, David Lindsey, Jordan Peterson and many others, even David Rubin and Ben Shapiro.
Thanks again for being a beacon of reason.
Very good interview, Neil has an outstanding grasp on this topic. If you see this 1 hour 6 min video and think you don't have time for it, please just watch from 49:20 on. Great and incredibly helpful information.
"Truth comes before feelings"
In addition to the information given in this video, I taught my high school kids that Critical Theory and "social justice" are simply tactics used by arrogant, self-centered leftist elitists to create dissatisfaction with current society, so that people will then be open to new forms of government and then the leftist elitists can gain authoritarian power. Saul Alinsky, Obama's hero (and a communist community organizer) taught his trainees to "rub the sore raw" so that their discontent can lead Alinsky to gain more political power.
My head hurts. And I'm only 22 minutes in 😬
This was good. God bless.
