I agree with the conclusions of your discussion, but not with all the arguments. You still make a fundamental mistake that needs to be pointed to the Christian and pro-life voters: after the Dobbs decision, abortion is not an issue up to debate in a Presidential campaign – period! Kamala makes it an issue because of her satanical agenda, but Trump does not have to touch it, at all, except to say that he will abide by the SCOTUS decision and do absolutely nothing about the issue, which he emphatically states each time he is asked about it. Other than that, he never speaks on the matter, which is exactly what he needs to do. So, whatever his personal opinion may be, if he doesn't act upon it, then he does not support abortion, nor banning it. Saying that to vote for him would be a compromise implies that he supports abortion in the first trimester (or whatever) – which is a lie, just as blatant as the leftist lie that he will ban all abortions nationwide!
When a hostile interviewer insisted with questions, he saw an opportunity to make himself more acceptable to moderate liberals that are bombarded with propaganda's lie that he will ban abortions nationwide, by stating some "moderate", middle of the road "personal opinion" – which, he once again stated, doesn't mean anything in terms of his policies. We should remember that he is campaigning, not confessing! As Dr. Mohler pointed out, we don't know what's in his heart. We are called to judge people by their deeds and nothing else! Talking about how much Trum supports abortion in his heart or in his mind and that it is a compromise to vote for him is accepting the lose-lose for the opponents framework that leftists are so skillful at setting in the public narrative! If your arguments are still in this framwork, it turns out that Trump is bad for the left because he restricts abortion and bad for the Christians because he's not pro-life "enopugh"! We should reject the framework rigged against us!

Mushy middle? Please. I'm taking the hard line. Voting for the lesser of evils only aids the enemy in advancing his cause incrimentally. That is very different from insisting on what is Holy. The day is coming good friends when we will no longer be able to "go along to get along." Better armour up and learn to stand your ground. Either of these candidates is a judgement against us. Repent, share the gospel, and pray for peace and revival. Thats the only thing that will save souls.

So when Mohler edited the book on the stain of racism, was he "binding consciences?" He continues to use this supposed commitment to "not binding consciences" as a warrant for not saying explicitly that a Christian should not vote for Kamala and/or should vote for Trump. It is non-sensical.
Donald Trump is basically a 90s Democrat: Pro choice but pro law-and-order, opposes free trade but supports a strong border, pro homosexual but no “shove it down your throat”, etc. And no, he’s not saved.
I think as far as Christians and voting this year, I’d say it’s honestly a Christian liberty issue in terms of voting for Trump or not voting at all. All I want is for my groceries to be cheap again.

To those who who think we cannot vote for lesser than abolition:
When ancient Athens was throwing undesirable newborns over a cliff and you were to time travel back, would you climb down over the cliff and try to save as many as you could or would you stand at the top of the cliff and throw your hands up and say to the elders of Athens “until you abolish this practice, I can’t climb down that cliff and save a few”.
Maybe, if you time traveled back, you would save as many as you could and continue to plead and educate for abolishing the practice while doing everything you could to save as many from death as possible?
Picture USA as Ancient Athens and do whatever you can to save as many as you can while also fighting for and praying for hearts to change.
Throwing your hands up and doing nothing is not going to help the unborn and it would not have helped the babies in Ancient Athens.
Doing nothing in this election will throw more babies over the planned parenthood cliff, not less.
