  3. Thank you so much for this video, had a friend who almost died and lost her ability to have kids. So glad you also brought up (what could be a whole video itself) on how abortion is used against ladies and girls by people in there lives by forcing them to have them. They make it sound like it gives women control but traffickers, and abusers can sweep under the carpet what they are doing to women and girls. Abortion kind of uses courts to protect abusers because they are getting a rid of evidence (sorry for calling a baby that). It seems like to me it gives women less control over their bodies and not more. Also what about fathers who do want their babies? Where is there protection, this new person is half them and half their child? So much to think about and explore rationally. Plus the science how can anyone argue with the science and stats?

    If not they are only cells going to be.
    The discussion in general is perverted by religious and non religious biases.
    Christians use the subject to keep their congregations distracted while ignoring many other issues in congregations.

    Both do not focus on the persons but on their own interests.

  6. Sean I am not sure why abortion has become such a hot potato for Christians. What does the bible say about abortion?
    Help me with these passages:
    Hosea 13:16 “Because she has rebelled against her God, the little ones shall be dashed in pieces, and the pregnant women ripped open.”
    Numbers 5:21-22 “May the Lord cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry.”
    Is the bible pro life?

    Your Dr is disguising her faith position as medical reasons against abortion. She has a choice not to carry out abortions.
    The question is why are these women choosing to have abortions.
    I do not feel l have any right to tell a woman what to do with her body .
    I agree that women should be fully informed about all aspects of abortion. The same applies to any medical procedure.

    If you want to see a Holocaust of life being lost just read the bible. I don’t think your Dr has.

  8. New game; one tequila shot every time the Dr. explains the supposed weaknesses of the science behind abortion, and then falsely concludes that such weakness in the studies “proves” the opposite, or “proves” that her unsupported, faith-based opinion is “right”.

  9. People can see through the dishonesty of Dr. Francis using her medical title to advance her faith-based preference for criminalizing abortion. Let’s be clear, she is saying that the technical medical consensus is wrong and that her faith based beliefs system should substitute that of the medical community. She casts her argument as “common sense” criminalization of conduct not consistent with her faith. Is the same line of argument that the Taliban controlled media is advancing in Afghanistan at this very moment. Same used by the Ayatollahs in Iran. They are “barely” asking just a minimum of “respect and common sense.”

  10. I would only support it if it had something to do with miscarriage. My mother was pregnant being 45yrs old and the baby died inside and it had been 3 days. She almost died as well. But to kill a fetus with a heart beat, that's really something else.

  11. Amazing how Christians like Ms. Francis, still lie about abortions causing breast cancer. There is no studies that show this. None. What a pathetic human being trying to use fear and lies to control them.

  12. In 2002, I had two separate 20-week pregnancies end when the babies died in-utero. I was induced and delivered and, at the time, thought a D&E would have been better. I don’t think that anymore. What I experienced was tragic and hard, but I got to work through the trauma and grief at the time. I am now a therapist and help women who’ve had loses (naturally or through abortion) heal from their experience.

  15. Thank you for the very informative discussion . I believe strongly that abortion is wrong and that the baby should receive the status of person hood while unborn , so that it can be protected legally . However , I feel not in peace about the new law in Texas , because it is deputizing citizens to uphold this law. In a sense it’s a law that creates more strive between people , it literally creates a bounty hunter system and creates distrust . I don’t think we can fight evil with evil !

  17. I have to work hard on my heart on this subject, because I have very little sympathy for women who choose abortion for anything other than life threatening reason. I know it's murder, but I should still love those women as I do myself, but it's difficult. I realize it's partly because they're a "faceless mob" to me and not individuals.

    My wordly reaction when someone gets harmed while killing another person is that I don't care. But I know that's not what God asks of me and I should pray, not only for these women, but for the hardness of my own heart.

    These women aren't my enemy, and even if they were, I'm still commanded to love them.

  20. Correction from my previous post – I meant AAPLOG. Also I would have liked for you all to have discussed the option of abortion for a woman who has been traumatized by rape, especially by a family member. Maybe that's something that you can address on another episode of your program. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed your guest. She's very patient, compassionate, articulate and as unbiased as you can possibly get on this subject. I hate extreme and emotionally charged arguments devoid of facts whether it be from the ''left or from the ''right.'' On the flip side I'm appalled that the information that she has presented is not being shared with abortion minded women!!! They have a ''right'' to know!!!

  21. Psalm 2:1-3

    1 Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? 
    2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, 

    3 "Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us."

    Verse 3 says everything we need to know about our current point in history. They desire to break the bonds of God's laws, what they consider as restrictions against how they want to live their lives.
    So the world powers sit and devise evil schemes as to how to break the bonds of God's "restrictions "
    This is where we are in history.

    How much longer does any Christian think, God will allow this? People are literally spitting in God's face while cursing his name for the sake of sinful earthly pleasures.

  22. You're shooting sideways past the Supreme Court non-ruling. It's not about LATE-term abortion. At six weeks, some women are barely aware of their pregnancy. And to allow an uninvolved party to accuse someone of 'aiding and/or abetting' in the commission of an abortion is just allowing vigilantes to go bananas.
    As far as I'm concerned, I think that pro-lifers need to take responsibility for any unaborted fetus until it achieves the age of accountability, either six years or twelve. Walk the talk. youse guys!

  25. i understand the compassion argument against abortion but i do not understand being prolife from the religious argument…read the bible and youll see god has no problem killing babies or children….in numbers 5 you will read how a husband suspecting his wife of cheating can cause her to miscarry…and fimally 50,000 children under the age of 5 die DAILY on this planet mostly from starvation or disease…where is the out rage there…but i get it the bible is very anti woman and strives to keep women as property of their husbands…nothing scares religions more than women standing up for themselves…abortion will never end…and despite you having a far greater chance of dying giving birth than having an abortion the fearmongering will continue…in every intelligent first world country this isnt even an issue…stay classy america…

  26. We (pro-life defenders) need a bullet point document or graphic of the stats from this (cited maybe) so we can share on social media. For example: I'd love bullet points of 93% of ObGYN's are not performing abortions
    After 1st abortion a woman's likelihood for future preterm birth increases by 60%, after 2nd 90%, after 3rd 150% (Not sure if I got that right or worded that right)

    But also any/all moral, ethical, scientific defenses for pro-life.

    Is there a book or article with this somewhere? We need "share-able" graphics particularly.
    I follow Live Action but haven't really seen this.

  28. Interesting conversation though when Sean states that many people who claim to be pro-choice are actually not they're just pro-abortion, the inverse could just as easily be said about many people who claim to be pro-life. They aren't really pro-life they're just anti-abortion.

  31. Conservative and Right Wing Christians: Pre-term Birth is an issue that endangers the life of the baby. That’s a problem.

    Also Conservative and Right Wing Christians: We must fight government healthcare. A woman has no right to pre-term birth health care.

    The contradiction is mind boggling. Access to health care makes it easier to have the baby and have subsequent babies.

    Of course, conservatives / right wing Christians will respond and talk about how they do help mothers and how they give much more to charities than us politically liberal and progressive folks. Yet, as anyone can see, while we are thankful for all that giving, it is nowhere near enough to cover the health care needs of pregnant women and babies. As a Bible-believing Christian who is pro life, I fully support universal healthcare because it is essential to the health of pregnant women and their babies.

  33. I had an abortion at 19. Found out at 3 weeks I was pregnant. Got abortion between 5-6 weeks. I am a Christian and still couldn’t forgive myself for years over this. Killing your babe even early on does cause severe remorse. God has shown me thru His Word I am forgiven and praise Him for this. However, I wanted to share that even the heartbeat law isn’t enough. I still could’ve received an abortion under Texas law. I know it’s progress!

  37. I was born 3 months early in 1980. According to my mom I was a guinea pig for procedures and medications that have now become common practice. I am now 41 and have no major complications from premature birth. I do have varicose veins in my legs and my vision is pretty bad but I am not legally blind but do wear pretty thick glasses. I attribute this to the power of prayer by believers across the country. I pray the evil of abortion will one day be eradicated.
