Was The Resurrection Story STOLED
Did Christianity steal the resurrection? The idea that Christianity borrowed the resurrection is simply false and the vast majority of scholars agree—Jesus’ resurrection is unique to Him. There’s no evidence to suggest it was borrowed from other faiths.

Odin hung from a tree for 7 days in Norse myth, but there was no written norse tales until Snorri Sturleson… correct me if I'm wrong. Biblical texts existed long before his time (in the 1100's). This may be what this "edgy" youth may be, incorrectly, referring to.
Maybe Sean is wrong and headed to hell. How would we know?
The kids ain't wrong, technically. The Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh (Noah flood story) predated the Hebrew version. Christmas (winter solstice) IS pagan and not actually Jesus's bday. Resurrections and Virgin births were themes in Egypt thousands of years before Christ, but none of that disproves Jesus or the tenets and principles of modern Christianity. It just says there is more to the story, that maybe history isnt what weve been told and the truth of God is bigger and more amazing than anything we can imagine!! 🙂
if Jesus chooses him.
yikes. he just said some words that say he is fringe and he doesn't properly research.
He might be misinformed in some of the things he said, but it doesn't make an apologist Sean right about it either. You Christians laugh all you want and condemn the Jews for rejecting Jesus as a Messiah because your knowledge of the Thora and Old Testament is just reading your wrong theology into it. Jesus did not make a single old testament prophecy come true. You wouldn't have a God without taking the Thorah and Old Testament and grossly misinterpret it. I get it, Sean is trying to gaslight and keep Christians Christian, but his argument wouldn't hold water to people who view his point with some dose of skepticism.
I’m not going to argue that Christian’s stole or borrowed from other religions. But, to deny that other religions/cultures had some of these concepts in them preceding the development of Christianity would be disingenuous. Christianity developed within the Greco Roman sphere of influence . Romulus is said to have been resurrected in a sort of exhalation type process. Emperors came to be “known” as Sons of God and were elevated to the level of divinity upon their deaths. I’ll leave the Christmas stuff alone, but, there is good reason to believe the timing of Jesus birth(which is assumed, not known) aligned with Roman Saturnalia .
Stole? Borrowed?….influenced….?
Besides, no person in these fields of study argues that any of these concepts are identical across religions or cultures. Just that they share a common trope. It’s also worth noting that these “majority of scholars” he appeals to….are most likely Christian NT scholars
He will Need JESUS one day and he will get it right
That dude has a penis and still tries to steal one with his mouth
I find this argument so weird. If it was just that there were stories or claims of certain events, I'd say – ok, maybe .. 🤔
But the evidence that has been uncovered to support Biblical narratives is mind-boggling! Sure, it doesn’t prove them, but, holy moly, it makes the plagiarism idea sooo weeeeak!! 🧐
We should pray for people like him, that are so mislead.
How old is he 12? What theological seminary school did he go to? Hmmmm!
